Reading the reviews I was concerned that this refrigerator would be loud. I was happy to find that the opposite is true. It runs quiet! The long shelves are a bit weak in the middle but not an issue if you place heavy items off to the sides. Plenty of room. I have it out in our garage in cold weather which has been below freezing. I checked the temperatures and the refrigerator and freezer are cooling well. Good overall value for the cost.

Very happy with this purchase! Large and sturdy storage bins and capacity, runs very quietly, and I like the sleek finish. Only one little drawback - the fresh meat storage bin can only be pulled out half as far, making it difficult to retrieve items. There is so much storage, that one fails to see the lower last bin in the door and what it is holding - but happy it’s there! It is “spot on” with keeping frig at 40’ (or even a little less), and freezer at 0’. I definitely give high marks on this product!

First time I've owned a GE fridge but it seems to deliver.  Its not noisy like what I've read some reviews.  I've been in the garage when the compressor is running and while not silent,  its not loud. The freezer is doing an excellent job and the entire fridge is maintaining excellent temps.  I've only had it about a month but so far so good. I also got it at a fair price

Indoor garage in summer. Need to be put on cooler setting. Noticed some gnats on bottom so i wonder about seal. Cleaned garage and trash can inside as not sure what attracted them and will see. Plasitc wrap on fridge that has to be torn off was a disaster to rip off. Tore more off on bottom of door that was missed but seal looked ok. Not rhe most ergonomic fridge having to bend over to reach in. Works well and quiet enough otherise. No freezer light

I purchased the fridge as an open box for $375. It was practically brand new and still had all interior shelves taped down with styrofoam. The main reason I selected this fridge is it’s considered garage ready. It can handle extreme hot and cold temps and keeps performing well. The size is perfect for all kinds of different food and drinks. It’s mainly used to store beer, water, pop, pizza and an overflow of things that won’t fit in my kitchen fridge. As a plus, it matches my GE upright freezer. I’d recommend searching out an open box to save a few bucks or catching it on sale. The sale price at the time of purchasing was around $699 for a new version of this fridge. I decided to go with the open box since it was not going to be my main fridge and just a garage fridge.

I did alot of research on a new replacement of my old Kenmore. Read alot of reviews. I'm very happy with my choice, its quiet, very nice, actually larger then the Kenmore. The light in the refrigerator is not bright and it says when it burns out I need a repairman to fix it, its not an old fashion light bulb. Other than that I've had it for 2 months and am very happy

Just gotta say that my research paid off. Just recently purchased my GE fridge and so far so good. Easy to assemble and settings are straight forward. The storage capacity is great and my drinks and meats are holding the correct temperatures. I highly recommended.

My New GE refrigerator is installed this morning with professional service. Appearance is stylist which has silver shining look. Quick Cooling freezer section. It cools down fast to -12 F in an hour. Much bigger room than my last refrigerator even though it is about the same size of my old one. Overall I like it very much. I will write up more after 1 month use.

We got a garage ready refrigerator so that we could use the refrigerator and freezer year round without worrying about the temperature. We love the size and it Is everything we wanted . The Best Buy salesman was the only one who understood what garage ready meant out of several places we looked at . Courteous and knowledgeable.

We bought this GE garage ready fridge a little over a month ago because we kept running out of room with our house fridge. It’s perfect—plenty of space and like our GE garage ready chest freezer I know the fridge motor will run well no matter how hot or cold the garage gets. It’s a very basic design but that’s fine for a garage fridge.

When my Maytag refrigerator of 25 years suddenly stopped working, and the repair technician told me it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge, this was the fridge I found on the showroom at BestBuy. Due to my budget, I had to downgrade from a french door model with all the bells and whistles to this simpler model with top freezer, no ice maker and no water dispenser. It has been an excellent purchase. We never used the ice maker or water dispenser in our old fridge, so they are not missed at all. I have equal storage and it is very quiet. It also looks great with the stainless steel doors!

I tried to shop around several online and brick motar stores for a garage ready refrigerator with decent storage space. There are not too many options. Among those I looked, this model met my requirements. While it's not quiet during operation, has been keeping fruits, vegetables and other food items fresh for longer periods. Since I installed in garage noise doesnt bother me much. It could also be due to the extreme temperatures this season. Onething GE could have done better is to make sure that freezer door seals well, and hence I gave 4 stars.

Learned that a fridge can be specially designed for the garage, so that's a win. But the freezer is not lighted so for $8 I got 2 small motion detection stick on LEDs from HD which work great.

I love my new garage refrigerator. Its very spacious and keeps the temperature where I set it. The delivery was on time ( actually 30 mins earlier) I love the dark color and no fingerprints can be seen. I highly recommended this refrigerator.

Fridge works great. Lots of room. Only bad thing is that the door handle came with a missing screw bushing. Had to find and order one myself because delivery people didnt leave a manual behind.

Great and simple fridge. Nothing fancy like the big name brands. This fridge should last for several years.

I’ve only had for about a month. Good for overflow and short term storage of fruit and vegetables from the garden and orchard in ready for preservation. One door shelf is a little too shallow to be truly useful as I’d prefer; but okay. I purchased specifically for garage ready feature. Seems to be working well in a non temperature controlled garage.
