Bought this for a house I’m selling, good price and worked with the other appliances

Quiet running. Plenty of inner space. Sleek look. Water and ice dispenser is good. Good shelving options to keep interior organized.

Great fridge. Small freezer section. I wish I had ordered the smudge proof stainless Steel. Small hands touching leave it so dirty.

We ordered this refrigerator based on reviews, and because it seemed the best option feature-wise for our limited space. We noticed how loud the hum was straight off, but thought we would wait until the refrigerator got up to temperature to see if the noise was a constant. It was. Not only is the hum of the compressor loud, but the refrigerator also has a periodic whine that goes in a wavy whine up and down. We weren't sure if this was something wrong with this particular unit or the model in general so set up an appointment for a warranty service visit via GE's online appointment scheduler. Apparently that was a ghost appointment, because the third-party servicer called me the day before the appointment to say they had no available appointments for another week and a half. As that would put us beyond our Best Buy return date, I declined. I tried to get another appointment through GE, but they couldn't find anyone for weeks, until they set up something with the same company again. We'd already received the replacement refrigerator -- of the same model -- that we already knew we were going to return -- by this time. The exchange refrigerator is actually NOISIER than the first one. The hum is there and the undulating whine is louder and more frequent and it occasionally has a third harmonic going on. It sounds like the Death Probe from the 70's TV show 6 Million Dollar Man. I can hear it from three rooms over. Needless to say, we've scheduled an exchange for another refrigerator from another manufacturer. The fridge keeps foods at the right temperatures and has some nice features, but if you're living in a small space it is way too loud.

Great fridge. Looks gods and works well. Freezer is a tad small. Ice and water in freezer door work great too.

My household is 3 Adults and 1 young child and there is enough storage space for our needs with some room to spare. The only problem I had was that the filter the fridge came with for the water supply was faulty it was leaking from the plastic housing I had to go buy one at the store and they aren't cheap. That is why I gave it a 4 star review

After having the same GE appliances for over 10 years we decided to upgrade but should’ve looked into other options, like non smudging, the noise it makes when making ice makes you think something is breaking, doesn’t fit the space completely. Will look at more reviews next time.

We had requirement for specific dimensions which were not available in all dual door models with water and ice dispenser. This met all the features we wanted including great price

Overall a very good product for the money. Well organized bins and door shelves in frig section. Freezer could have deeper bin at bottom and ice-maker takes up quite a bit of space. I really like the door alarm which goes off if the door is left ajar for more than 3 minutes. Well worth purchasing.

This GE side by side is the perfect refrigerator for a condo galley kitchen. It runs quietly and water dispenser delivers cold water and ice maker is amazingly fast

We had a limited space but wanted stainless steel as well as ice and water in the door. This refrigerator fit in our tight space and is excellent. Works great and is quiet. We are very happy with our purchase. I highly recommend this refrigerator if you have limited space like we did.

We were limited on the width size for a fridge. This fridge is the perfect size for our family. The ice Maker and filtered water is a must have for us and this one is great. Some people say it’s noisy which is true at times. The led lights is certainly an upgrade for us. The filter seems simple to change unlike our previous Frigidaire. Delivery team was awesome they even moved our old fridge to the garage which they had to bring around the house. Tipped the delivery guys.

This is a quiet running refrigerator and the temperature adjustments work to perfection. Food stays at regulated temps. Replaced an older unit.

This GE refrigerator replaced a 22-year-old unit, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect in a new model. The old unit had been relatively quiet, but recently it started sounding like it was struggling. We thought it would better to replace the unit on our terms rather than after it had failed. The new unit is pretty quiet, the ice maker is about equivalent to our old one, but it’s nice to have only 1 dispenser with a selection button for water, crushed ice, or cubed ice. Our old model had a separate dispenser for ice and water. My only experience with crushed ice delivered from a home fridge had been at various places we have stayed on vacations over the years. In all cases most of the crushed ice ended up on the floor, so I had low expectations for this feature. I’m happy to report that this GE fridge does a very good job of delivering crushed ice into your glass and not on the floor. I’m also very impressed by the water filter. Our tap water has a slightly bad taste that prompted me to buy a Brita pitcher several years ago. The water delivered by the new fridge tastes to me every bit as good as the water from my Brita. I guess I won’t need that pitcher anymore. The only negative about the ice and water delivery system is that the water is only slightly colder than tap water. That is disappointing considering our old fridge had been delivering cold water for over 2 decades! The only other drawback to this new side-by-side is that it doesn’t seem to have as much usable space in either the freezer side or the refrigerator side as our old side-by-side. Part of that is due to a bit less flexibility in shelf adjustment. Part is also due to how much space the light housing takes up on the top shelf of the refrigerator. All-in-all this is a very good unit and I’d rate it 4.5 stars if I could. Given the few drawbacks, I just couldn’t give it a 5. It’s a good value and we were happy to be able find something this nice given that we were limited to 33” wide models due to the way our kitchen was designed. I only hope this one lasts 22 years like the last one.

clerk at the store was very helpful . delivery guys where very good . twice because the first fridge didn't work. so they promptly delivered a second with no questions asked. tried to buy home town local first .but nowhere near the great experience I had with bestbuy. now we are looking into buying a matching oven range

We were limited to less than 35 inch width and less than 69.5 inch height. The see-by-side design accounts for the fact that there wasn’t a lot of clearance from the front of the refrigerator and the cabinets opposite.

My last fridge was a GE that lasted for almost 20 yrs which is why I bought another. I like the features which are similar to the one I had; however, it's very noisy andit's annoying. It came with a card that mentioned the humming sounds are normal, but I believe this is an extremely poor engineering design. My 20yr old fridge was very quiet, so I'm perplexed that 20yrs later technology has regressed. Come on GE you're better than this!
