||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed 9/22, had to be replaced on 10/2 as unit was defective. Posted .Hello there - We are so sorry that you're experiencing issues with your current dishwasher's latch and that you had to have your original dishwasher replaced in the first place. This would be quite frustrating and we completely understand your disappointment. On new dishwashers, it may be necessary to push-in on the top center of the control panel while latching the door because the gasket is still stiff. (The gasket will become more pliable after a few uses.) If it still won't latch, be sure that all items are within the racks and do not stick out beyond the front or back of the dishwasher racks. More troubleshooting tips for this issue can be found in an article titled, "Dishwasher Door Will Not Latch," by typing that into the search bar on our website. Please connect with us if you need anything - we are always glad to help out. Be well, Kelsey@GEA

Less than 18 months after purchase it broke down.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is still shiny and it's already nonfunctional. Very long wash cycles for a mid quality job, and it dies <6 months after the manufacturer warranty ends.

Posted .Hi - Thank you for having purchased a new GE dishwasher for your home. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the longer cycle times and can understand how that could be an inconvenience at times. In recent years, there have been changes to federal water and energy efficiency guidelines, which means dishwashers use less water and less energy to run. Consequently, new dishwashers now run longer to ensure good wash performance and use less energy to do so. You're also using less hot water and saving energy because your water heater does not need to provide as much hot water to achieve the same wash results. You can determine how long the cycle takes based on the wash cycle you choose and the additional options you select. If you choose the One Hour cycle with no options, you can expect the cycle to take approximately 60 minutes. This cycle is especially useful for light to medium soiled dishes. Your cycle time will increase with each option you select. You are in control of how long your wash cycle will be. Please refer to Pages 5-6 for additional information regarding cycle times and the various options available. We hope you find this helpful. All our best! Vikki@GEA

Posted .We're so sorry that your dishwasher isn't turning on after only a month of use. This is not something we would expect and we hate that you're dealing with issue. It's possible that a fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is tripped. If this is the case, replace fuse or reset circuit breaker and remove any other appliances from the circuit. If you discover that's not the issue, then we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your dishwasher. You can schedule service online through our website or by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. We hope this helps. All the best, Kelsey@GEA
