Minor disappointment

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.No real problem at this time; however my previous dishwasher had a lid that flipped down over a section of the silverware basket which I used for spoons, and a separate flip down lidded basket for knives, which are no longer provided. The sharp pointed knife tips poke down a bit through the bottom of the basket which can't be good for the life of the basket.

While he was here he installed the dishwasher for free so I could use it instead of waiting for you to show up.

Posted .We encourage you to check the temperature of the water coming into the dishwasher. For optimum wash and dry performance, the water coming in must be a minimum of 120°F. Use a candy or meat thermometer and measure the hot water at the sink closest to the dishwasher. Adjust your water heater as needed. We also recommend choosing the Wash Temp Boost option. You may find you no longer need to pre rinse your dishes. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Already Serviced in less then a year

The plastic inside burned while washing and could have burned everything down if I hadn’t smelled it being home and stopped it. The only good thing is having the Best Buy membership to have it serviced and pieces ordered and replaced. But I would never buy this dishwasher again. Horrible cheap workmanship and expensive for nothing.

It was delivered and installed very quickly. the installers were very thorough and finished in less than an hour. , and the team that took the old washer came within 2 hours and took it away.

The installation went smoothly thanks to the delivery of the firm sent by Best Buy to install it. Also, the salesperson was very helpful and listened to my concerns. Could not be happier.

I paid for installation and then was told that because my hookup wasn't on the same level as my sink they couldn't do it. Tried hooking the hoses up the same way we removed them and the cycle doesn't fully finish and not all the water is drained. Called the warrantee and was basically told the same thing. It's been sitting unused because by the time it was delivered I only had a week left in the return window.

It was in excellent shape when we received it. Even on the highest drying mode the dishes still come out wet. It does however clean the dishes beautifully

Please check to be sure you have a minimum of 120 degree water coming into the unit, choose the WashTemp Boost option and the Dry Boost - High option. If you are choosing these options and are waiting for the Clean light to come on prior to opening this dishwasher and you continue having difficulty with wet dishes, we would recommend service.
