And now it won't start. I have lights but it just beeps when I push the start button. I've unplugged and tried again but no luck.

We have tried all settings, multiple detergents, multiple rinse aides. We load at half capacity and have tried different items in top/bottom rack. We now pre wash ALL food off and then have to hand wash half the items after cycle is done. This appliance should NOT BE ON THE MARKET. Terrible GE. Waste of money. We are looking for ANOTHER NEW dishwasher now...three months later...but we should have made the switch within the first 30 days. We just kept trying thinking no way is a new GE dishwasher this terrible...we must be doing something wrong.

This is never our expectation for consumers so we can only imagine how disappointing this has been for you. For the best help, we first suggest the following tips:1) Make sure the dishwasher is connected to the hot water line and not to cold. 2) Is the dishwasher level from side to side and front to back? Improper leveling can lead to a number of cleaning issues, including affecting how well it can drain the dirty water from the tub. 3) A drain hose installed over 72" H will not drain well and can affect wash performance. 4) Check the water temperature. Proper water temperature is essential to achieve optimum results from your dishwasher and the detergent. Hot water is needed to dissolve and activate the detergent so that it can loosen and remove common food soils. The hot water heater should be set to deliver at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit water to the dishwasher. If the problem persists, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). We hope this information is found useful and we're wishing you the best. - Guy@GEA

We'd recommend double checking this first. There are two articles on our website that we think may help. They are titled "DISHWASHER - NORMAL / ABNORMAL NOISES" and "DISHWASHER - RATTLING NOISE." - For the drying issue, you can also take a look at an article titled "DISHWASHER POOR DRYING" to see if the tips inside help. - And for the cycle times, you can see page 5 of your Use and Care manual for approximate cycle times. Loud & lasted less than 2 years

This was the loudest dishwasher I've ever heard, despite it saying it was in the "Quiet" range. And it's a squealing, annoying loud. I'm actually super glad that it just started leaking, even though we've had it less than 2 years. I can't wait to get it out of my house! DO NOT BUY!!
