Pretty dishwasher, a couple of flaws

Seems to run well, not difficult to install, directions could use a little clarification. At times seemed they might be directions for a different model. We were able to install successfully and ran the machine empty the first time. Unfortunately, while the dishwasher is running, there is excessive condensation that collects on the left side of the handle in front of the vent. Major design flaw if you ask me. Not only ugly to have water on the handle but it drips on our wood floor. Second flaw, the clips on the silverware caddy impede the lower rack and make it impossible to push it into the machine without aggressively rubbing on the rubber gasket that seals the door when closed. I can only imagine this will cause damage if left unchecked. Literally have to pick up the lower rack and shift it to the left, off of it’s track, in order to roll it into the machine. Unacceptable for a brand new dishwasher. Have left messages for GE regarding both issues and have yet to hear back. Will update review once response is received from GE. Not the most expensive dishwasher out there but certainly not the cheapest and I expected more from GE. Good points: runs quietly and does a nice job of cleaning dishes.

Bought this as an open box item. Had a dent but its next to my stove and not really noticeable. Saved almost half on the original price on it. It works perfectly and no issues with the vent others have complained about yet. Im watching the door as it does have the small plastic parts one person said are prone to breaking. It really cleans well. Only issue was it didn't seem to dry so I set it on boost and now it works perfect.

Horrible, we have only had it two years. We have replaced the plastic strip that goes over the button once and its already cracking again. The front of the door has many rust spots that are tiny right now but I expect them to only get bigger.

Very happy...after one small problem fixed

First the good...or actually great. It is very quiet and does a great job cleaning the dishes. It also does a great job drying. Very clean and dry dishes come out. Nice options and the bottle jets work great. Very happy with the performance of the dishwasher. So...why not 5 stars?? After installation we ran it twice and it dripped a very small amount of water from the bottom of the door below the vent on the upper left of the door. It was not coming down the outside of the door. We could feel it under the inside of the door and on the insulation you feel when you reach up under the door. It did such a great job cleaning the dishes that I was debating if I return it or try to figure it out. Then on just a whim I unscrewed the round vent on the upper inside of the door that coincides with the steam vent above the handle on the left outside of the door. It unscrewed relatively easily and I notice some insulation was pulled up between the piece that unscrews and the rubber gasket on the inside piece that vents to the outside of the door. it was a small amount pulled up but enough to cause a small leak. After I tucked it out of the way, and replaced the unscrewed piece, then the leak disappeared. No drip and dry under the bottom inside of the door and insulation. The small amount of insulation that was pulled up between the vent pieces was just enough so the vent wasn't sealing properly and was leaking. Now no leak and the amount of steam coming out of the outside vent is normal and not excessive as implied by another review. Now no leak and it is an amazing dishwasher....after 1 week so far. We will see if it lasts. It is replacing a low end GE the builder put in the house that only lasted 2 years. I am hoping for better luck with this one. So far we love it....but it looses 1 star for the quality control that caused the leak.

This version has plastic interior (while there is a slightly more expensive version that has metal interior). To save a few $$ I got this version. Its well built, quiet, easy to use, and cleans very well. I like that the buttons are on the inside. My only issue was the 3rd party installers. They did not bult the top to the counter, therefor when I opened the door, the entire dishwasher nearly fell on itself. Luckily I was able to locate the original brackets in the manual bag and did it myself with ease; but it should have been completed in the first place by the installers. As for the item itself, I highly recommend it.

The dishwasher cleans really well. Unit isn’t as quiet as I anticipated, especially based on other user reviews. It beeps upon finishing a cycle which I do not recall reading in the item description. The inside feels cheap for the price; unsure how durable it will be in the long run. Also, the baskets are built to accommodate larger items rather than a bunch of small ones. That is very different from our older unit with more structured spacing. The plastic on the door cut my wrist last week as I closed the door to start. There is a semi-sharp lip on the inside that I consider poor design- hope to not be injured again, but I can see it happening. Despite these changes the dishes are clean. Ultimately, that is the function of the washer!

I like my new dishwasher! It’s quiet, and easy to use. The only downfall I’ve experienced is that the water doesn’t quite drain all of the way out. A day or two of standing water is stinky.

Gets things clean, looks nice, dries well. What else can you ask for? Just be sure to place the flatware bin properly hanging on the side of the bottom rack; if it’s not seated properly it will be tilted backwards slightly and will rub up against the rubber gasket sealing the door, which over time could warp or even tear the gasket. You can relocate the flatware bin somewhere else if it’s an issue or something. I saw the review giving this low stars because they didn’t seat the bin properly, but like almost all negative reviews on products, it was their own error that caused the issue. I haven’t tried all of the different settings, but normal wash cycle with boost dry works well. I will try lowering the wash times and dry settings to find a sweet spot for wash time; no point wasting water and power for a 3 hour cycle if a 2 hour or even 1 hour wash will get the job done.

The first one had two slices in the flush hose, probably from opening it with a razor. The replacement, (which only took 2 days), was handled with more caution and the delivery guy was much more helpful then the first guys. Very quiet and looks great. So, we bought a smart designed dish washer at a good price.

I like the way this dishwasher looks in the kitchen. The stainless steel front does not darken the kitchen it gives it a lighter look and compliments the g e stove. The front is smooth and for me I have not noticed it being covered in fingerprints. I like the dials being on the top of the door and not viewed so that children can not push the dials in curiosity. The dishwasher is very quiet and the dials are push button and self explanatory. Their is a space for the dishwashing pod and a bottle washer row that cleans the inside of the beverage bottles. There is a place to stand up eating utensils for thorough cleaning. I really like this dishwasher and it is a nice compliment to the stove. The

This dishwasher looks great in the kitchen, and it runs much quieter than the old one. The only drawback so far is that since the control pad sits at the top of the door, it would likely be impossible to stop the machine, if ever needed, because it disappears underneath the countertop when the door is closed.
