love my new refrigerator, more room, better insulated, lots of interior lights, easy use of external door dispensers, quiet, nice ring if door left open too long.

We started off with a side-by-side from a main competitor with GE and returned the refrigerator after 2 weeks. Horrible design and VERY noisy. This one is so well thought out and designed, and super impressed with how quiet it runs - amazingly quiet compared with our old refrigerator or the new one we returned. The doors close and seal nicely but you don't have to play tug-of-war trying to open them. The ice maker and water dispenser are fantastic and the temperature buttons are super easy to set. Bottom line - we couldn't be happier with this purchase :)

So far so good, knock on wood. I've only had this refrigerator for about a month now but giving it 5 stars because inventory is short in general and I'm just glad as heck to have a refrigerator. Quality wise, I think that the fingerprint resistant finish is great and easy to clean up against the odd butter finger smudges, etc., but it does not trap most finger touches. The ice maker/dispenser is great and works like a champ. I had another GE with the same ice maker and it lasted 16 years, so hopefully this one will too. And since the ice maker is actually in the freezer compartment and not the fresh food compartment (like the French Door models), you don't get the melting ice issues that drip out of the dispenser. Leveling: The doors fit fine but leveling is hard to do, so make sure your floor is as level as possible. I finally read that the front needs to be about 1/4 inch higher than the rear, so that helped, but if you have side to side leveling issues, that's going to be problematic. I finally just gave up. Interior: I love all of the little LED lights instead of the old-hot bulbs on my previous model; they really help shine up the interior. Regarding the bins in the fresh food side, their fit and quality seem to be a downgrade from the last model I had. The plastic appears thinner and not as stout, and the movement along the bin rails is clunky and gets off kilter easily, but it's nothing I can't live with; just have to close bins tenderly. Compressor wise, there is a ever slight high pitch sound that i can hear only while in the kitchen near the refrigerator. I'm not sure if it's the actual compressor or something vibrating at a high frequency, but I do notice it. Hopefully over time it will fade a little. But internal temperatures are spot on and keep constant throughout the day. That's is, overall it's a very nice unit for the price, which is about half that of the French Door models. Cons-The warranty is only for a year. My older model had a 5 year warranty on the sealed-system, but I guess now since GE Appliance is owned by Haier, they must have changed it to a one year warranty, which is quite frankly ridiculous.

I have limited space, but was dead set on getting a side by side. I previously had a French door with a bottom freezer that I did NOT like because I did not like "digging" into the bottom freezer to find things. My criteria other than the side by side was that I needed a "zero-clearance" hinge that would permit the freezer door to open in my limited space. I also wanted adjustable shelves and found that this was the ONLY one in my price range that provided such. I also wanted ice and water dispenser on the outside. This model has EVERYTHING and is the most attractive of the options I inspected!! I have had the appliance for almost three weeks and LOVE it. (Trust me I had reason to compare to several others!) However, it did come damaged upon delivery and I had to have the water line repaired. BB acted quickly to send a repair person. It was repaired in a week, including ordering a part. I am so pleased the repair was simple and quick as this is exactly what I wanted and BB gave me a compensation on top of all of that. I can't say enough nice things about the "in-store" service and accommodations. However, if can't find any "nice" words about the online assistance. I will cringe with dismay, if I ever have to call online for help again. I also find their website to be lacking and an overall "left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing" system. I typically do most of my shopping online---but I am NO fan of BB online! Thank goodness I live close to a brick and motor store with helpful and knowledgeable associates. I love this fridge. My last one started leaking, it was also a GE, and rather than mess with repairs since I did plan to replace it eventually, I went ahead and ordered the closest thing to my specs that could be delivered immediately. Although I paid a little more than I wanted to because I didn't have time to do research or look for sales, I am beyond thrilled with this purchase. It's smaller capacity than my last one in terms of cubic feet, but the way it's laid out makes it seem a lot bigger. There are multiple lights inside so everything is easy to see and very accessible. I'm so happy with this refrigerator. It looks really beautiful in my kitchen as well. The only negative was with installation. This refrigerator does not have the little feet that turn. You need an actual drill to level it. That's kind of intimidating, but since the installation guys to care of it for me, it wasn't a big deal. I just want to mention it because they were really struggling with getting it level!

Really like this machine. The ice maker is a little different than our old one and a little slow, but overall, we are very happy with the space and performance of this fridge. I like that we can check the temp from the door controls. Inside is well organized, and though different from our old one, works beautifully. Bright lighting! Nice clean look outside and a good size foe us and for a small family.

The day that I purchased this fridge, I'd already made up in my mind that my new appliances (I purchased a suite) were going to either be GE or LG; I found this same fridge on sale--and already read reviews, so, I told the salesperson, I'll take it! So, the delivery day came, I was super excited and more hyped about the price i'd paid! The delivery guys came in, measured where I would be putting the fridge, everything was a go! The delivery guys attempted bringing my new baby in and dinged the FRONT by the storm door not being unhinged, ugly cat-claw-like scratches, dings, BOY! I was not furious, not even moved, because I am OKAY-like cool, because I have to be; the guys unhinged the door and finally placed my baby to her new stay place, went back out and brought the handles. Next, the delivery guy brought in a sticky with BB Cust. Relations phone number and I got nowhere. I called the store, after days of this "mishap" the manager credited my account for $100-on my branddd new fridge. SO, whatever, right, because, like, things like this happens all the time. Two weeks into owning my new ice box, my fridge still has not made any ice, like, no ice! The freezer wont go below 20 DEGREES; food is freezer burning, thawing, and unthawing...we have expensive foods, and meats, my minds boggled, what am I gonna do? GE worked to get my fridge to freezing point and MAKING ice after a phone call, or TWO, but nonetheless, the fridge is working just fine today, thank God! Every good deal is not always a good deal. But she's a beauty and I hope she sticks around for as long as my other GE fridge did!

Just purchased for Thanksgiving as an extra fridge in the basement. It’s really a nice size for an extra fridge or even a main fridge. You can stand up a box of pizza in it easily and all the shelves are removable. Nice feature with the ice maker and water dispenser on the outside. The finish is nice because it does not smudge or show fingerprints.

This unit is working great! Appreciate the space on the freezer doors and the over depth of all the many shelves on both sides and the ability to customize the height of each shelf - easily adjustable. This was a major factor in picking the unit. The ice maker is pretty quiet- no complaints and water dispenses well. I wouldn't say it's totally fingerprint resistant, but it does minimize fingerprints. Overall a great unit and we're pleased with the purchase.

I love this refrigerator! It replaced one almost identical that was 11 years old (had to be replaced due to a kitchen fire). The adjustable shelves inside and on the doors allows me to customize to meet my storage needs. The temperature is consistent and the in-door water, crushed and cubed ice works great. I love the fingerprint resistant front which will hold magnets. This is a quality refrigerator!

I am so happy with this refrigerator. I love the shelves and all the space. The ice maker works great and is quiet compared to the last Frigidaire fridge I had.

The refrigerator came today, replacing another GE that had given up. It was a bit taller than the one it replaced, which surprised me. It has a number of neat features, such as LED lighting, which I like, and a door alarm, which can be useful, but I disabled it for the time being. It cooled down quickly and I'm in the process of "moving in". To say it's spacious would be an understatement! The extra-wide door bins are convenient for juices and milk and other frequently used items, making more room on the shelves, and without sacrificing space. The water filter is inside and easily accessible, not something you'd have to go around back for. And as the water line on the fridge was ALREADY filtered, I'm getting double filtered water!

Purposefully waited six weeks to give my review on this refrigerator so I could put it through its paces. When researching this purchased I saw that people were posting immediately after delivery and I was more interested in the longer term evaluation. First, Geek Squad delivery was the best, hands down. Professional and courteous! The fridge was covered in plastic protection wrap and interior drawers and bins were carefully packaged. Perfect! The fridge cooled down quickly and began making ice the first day. You can check the temp of fridge or freezer in the water/ice control panel and adjust up or down to your needs. I verified the temp shown with a thermometer an it was exact. The dispenser provides water, crushed ice or cube ice and easily switched between functions. THe quality of the build is top notch. The stainless steel skin is excellent and the handles are sturdy and smooth. Inside, the side by side is very roomy and all the space is usuable. The lighting is superb and you can see in all corners and the glass shelves allow you to see what is below as well. THe doors have deep shelves and can hold gallon jugs of milk or juice. THe door shelves slide down the be se urely attached to the door-- no flimsy shelves! If you ever had a door shelf give way you know what a mess that is. The shelves are easily moved and adjustable in the fridge side You have three drawers, one is humidity controlled. The roll in and out easily and have a good finish (no rough edges). THe lighting system is fabulous. The freezer was a pleasant surprise. I had a french door fridge for years and realize that the freezer in the side by side is much more usable. I can quickly see everything in the freezer without sliding shelves or racks! Really much more space. Th machine is pretty quiet and is perfect for us. I chose this one because it did NOT have a zillion bells and whistles. I really never needed to know the fridge temp when I wasn't home, or see inside without opening the door, so a "smart" fridge is a waste of money for me. Overall, I would say this is the best fridge I ever had in th last 40 years. Highly recommend.

Works great but after using for a month, realize that the distance between shelves limits the options for organizing. Too much top shelf distance limits where you can locate all the shelves below. It gives you only small item space on lower areas and the only option at the top is to stack things (slightly inconvenient). Ice maker or total fridge is louder than expected. Regardless of these things, it works great and looks good.

No issues so far. Cooled fast. Plenty of room. Makes ice relatively quickly! The ice machine is a tad slow dispensing but not a problem! Love the extra drawers for the kids snacks. Like the Slate color

I actually bought a Samsung originally, but went back and changed to this GE before delivery took place. Samsung fridges seem to have reliability issue according to reviews on their own web site. I replaced a 22 years old 18 cu ft unit with is side by side and love it so far after just a week. Internal lighting is excellent. Spacious. Adjustable shelves vs. Samsung. I don't use the ice maker so I removed the bin to create more space. The cooling seems to function really well. The humming noise was loud for the first 3 days as it cooled. Now it's quieter or maybe I just got used to it. I have a small condo and the fridge is just 15 ft behind me in the kitchen. It comes on for about 30 min then off for about 45. Paid $1199 with free delivery + $29 to haul away old unit. Delivery was prompt and professional. Overall a great unit and I hope it will last another 20 years.

Bought the fridge over a year ago and still working great! For people like me who like to do meal prep and freeze meals ahead of time, there is ample space for food storage in the freezer side of the fridge, far more than conventional fridges. I love how the lower shelves of the standard fridge are all drawers, for better access to the back of the shelf and less interesting for curious kitties whenever I open the door.

We love our new appliance, I’m able to store my fruits/vegetables without them freezing. You never knew that you can be so excited about a new refrigerator! God be the glory! I have learned so much about my new appliance it has truly amazed me! Thank you Tracey Washington
