GE sold appliance division to Haier. Haier had the bright idea to add RFID to their propriety refrigerator water filters so customers have no 3rd party options and are forced to purchase replacement filters from GE. Horrible decision. Will be looking elsewhere when it's time to replace this unit. Freezer door, while closed and properly sealed all around sticks out 2 to 3mm compared to fridge door.

Finally had to replace my old refrigerator after 15 years. Love the slide out shelves & really bright lighting. Just wish there was more option to raise the deli drawer higher. Seems like wasted space on the top shelf. Freezer has plenty of useable space & love the roll out bins. I am very happy with my purchase.

This fridge is replacing an LG that died after 2 years. We purchased the GE because it is almost the same size as the LG and the GE got good reviews from other folks. It seems to be a fairly decent product. I hope this one lasts longer than 2 years.

Fingerprint resistant stainless is a really nice finish. Lots of room inside. It is very quiet. I wish the wheels locked it into place is the only needed thing when cabinets are built around the refrigerator, so the door doesn’t hit countertop. Beautiful appliance.

Ive had it over a year now with no issues. Overall, great fridge!

This is a nice refrigerator sadly it does not keep the fridge side cool enough at all times and I loose milk and a few other items sometime daily. For the size and price it is not very big and does not hold much if you do a ton of cooking like I do. The delivery guys were super great and fast. If you do not cook much, single or just a couple this would do just fine but it is not a family kind of fridge.

Loved this refrigerator. Everything was good but had to return because it was I too wide for the space. Spacious and quiet

This refrigerator is exactly what I wanted. I was tired of having a french door style refrigerator, as I hated digging through frozen foods at the bottom of the freezer. At times, frozen food would just get lost in the bottom of the freezer and forgotten. Just a waste of food. So, when the existing fridge was going bad, it was my opportunity to get a side by side fridge. After doing some research, I got this, mostly due to it's sale price and fingerprint resistant finish. Happy with the purchase. One thing to add, it does omit heat from the bottom of the fridge, but it doesn't really bother me. At least I know it is pushing warm air out to keep the compressor cool, versus the back towards the wall, that can restrict airflow.

After a 20 year run with a Kenmore refrigerator, we had to replace it. I did a lot of research and decided on this model. I am in love with the nice features, especially the interior LED lighting! I The installers from best Buy were extremely professional, took their time and made sure everything was working before leaving. There was a minor issue with the water line. They advised how to proceed with a replacement. Quite impressed!

Another quality appliance from GE and the ice maker is by the far the best one yet. Makes tons of ice, has a large bin and on the quite side.

We have had the refrigerator for about two months and it is working well. Looks great and plenty of space. Only cons are it is a bit noisy when running and things on the bottom shelf in the refrigerator side sometimes get too cold and partially freeze. Both minor issues.

Great refrigerator. Great lighting inside (that's important). Runs very quiet. The refrigerator door shelves could be a bit wider but other than that we are very satisfied with it.

We purchased a GE - 25.1 Cu. Ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator with External Ice & Water Dispenser - Stainless Steel and had it delivered to our home. The delivery process went smoothly and we are very pleased with our GE Refrigerator.

Runs quiet. Temperature display is nice to have. Factory settings are 0 and 36 deg F, and the fridge does a good job keeping those temperatures. French door fridges are popular but side-by-side’s have larger freezer capacities, and easier to find things. The water filter is located inside the refrigerated compartment, so the water is much cooler than designs with water filter outside of the fridge. Haven’t need to change the water filter yet, but other reviews said the built in electronics prohibits you from using a third party water filter ( read: cheaper). GE appliance is owned by Haier, frig is assembled in Mexico.

This refrigerator has clean lines and is operating perfectly so far. Just had it two weeks. Installation was flawless. Very cold temp, great ice but water is less flow than previous model. But not a problem. Cleans up very nicely with stainless spray.

Quiet, everything works. Time will tell if it will last.

Very happy with the ice and water dispenser . my last one took for ever for ice and would always end up spitting out ice after glass was gone. inside both fridge and freezer also are much better than my old samsung which only lasted 3 years before it died.
