Love this GE fridge..except the ice door flap isn't opening to let the ice thru the door chute. Service has been out and ordered a new solenoid part to be mailed to me. It's been 4 days and haven't gotten any sort of email or call that the part has been ordered or shipped to me yet.
Such a hassle right now to get ice. Have to dump ice into a bucket but at least it makes ice. This would have a 5 STAR rating except for this.

After buying nothing but GE appliances for 40 years, this is my last one. A special bypass plug is needed if you dont want to use the water filter. Water and ice will NOT get generated when the filter is expired. In addition, it is very noisy. Never again after 40 years.

I thought GE would be a reliable product. But since purchasing this refrigerator, I’ve had problems with temperature controls. The freezer doesn’t freeze the food properly at either recommended setting. And the refrigerator is freezing food. I’m very disappointed and regret my purchase.
