Do not buy unless you like loud noises.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this refrigerator to replace a 15 year old refrigerator that was slowly dying. The refrigerator was delivered and plugged in. Within the first week the refrigerator started making a horrible vibrating noise from the fan in the freezer. It sounds like a vibrating cell phone on a hard surface. We called GE and they did some trouble shooting over the phone, their tips didn't work. Contacted ge they sent a repair man out. The repair man said the fan needed to be "balanced". He balances the fan and leaves, a few days later the refrigerator resumed making the horrible noise. Another call to GE resulted in yet a nother tech coming out, the second tech replaced a $140 fan in the freezer and left. After a couple of days the refrigerator again resumed making the horrible noise. GE refuses to replace the refrigerator that has been repaired as many months as has been owned. I am now pursuing a formal complaint against GE on this issue. Save yourself the trouble and look at other brands.
