I got this GE 6,000 BTU window unit for a small bedroom, and it cools the space quickly without cranking the settings all the way up. Installation was straightforward with the included kit, and the remote makes it easy to adjust without getting out of bed. I like the Eco Mode for saving energy, and the filter reminder is a nice touch. It’s not whisper-quiet—you’ll hear it running—but the sound is steady enough to blend into the background. For the price, it’s a reliable option if you’re looking to keep a 200–250 sq. ft. room comfortable during hot days.

Our central AC went out during a heat wave, and this unit was an absolute life-saver while waiting for parts to come in for the repair. We installed it in under 5 minutes, and it managed to keep the entire front half of our house at a comfortable temp for the 2 weeks we needed it. Now we've decided to keep it around because it also does a great job of keeping the kitchen cool when the oven and stove are running.

Our central AC gave out during the hottest days of the summer. To survive, we put thid unit in our bedroom window and it has done a great job keeping the room nice and cool. Easy to install, controls are easy to understand, and the remote control is very convenient.

This is a great unit that cools well at an excellent price point. Now the down side--the installation kit is awful if you have anything other than a standard wooden sill single hung window. We have a rent house and needed a window unit. The house has decent aluminum windows but they were slightly narrower than the minimal installation width. Also they have a metal "lip" that seals the window so the unit would not fit in place. I bought a piece of 1 x 4 PVC lumber and a small aluminum "L-shaped" I fitted the correct width of the 1 x 4 then cut "legs" for the front and back side. There still wasn't a good way to lock the unit on the fabricated sill so I took 2 small pieces of extruded Al angle stock and made a channel across the fabricated sill for the lower part of the A/C unit. I used my band saw and drill press. Joins were completed with E-6000 adhesive & stainless hardware. the window was so narrow that I could only use one of the little accordion "wings." After securing the unit, I used expanding foam to complete the sealing of the unit. I probably had 5-6 hours of shop time and 2 trips to my local home improvement store. I would NOT recommend for an aluminum window unless you (or a very good friend) have some skill in the shop. I'd probably look at the roll around unit that has a much simpler venting solution.

It is compact, but chills out bedroom quickly. It is very quiet, easy to install.

My room is the hotest room in the whole house, because I have my computer and my TV running at the same time. This Window air conditioner can COOL DOWN my room with no issues, It is easy to install and easy to use. It packs great performance. The only reason why Im giving it 4 starts instead of 5 its because I wish it came with a little better insulation parts. The curtain panels seem a little flimsy and not that great for insulation. I'll see how they perform in the worst heat of the summer. Also some of the fins in the back part of it came bended. but being that it just a few here and there. I know it shouldn't affect performance. But really great product overrall. Performance 5/5 stars

We have a very small cabin and two dogs. On a recent vacation there, it was extremely hot so we bought this little air conditioner to run off our generator. It was amazing! It cooled down the cabin so everyone could sleep. Quiet, efficient and popped right into our window from the box - no difficult set up. Kept everyone (canine and human) happy - vacation saved!

I've had this for a few weeks now and the compressor is louder than my old 2019 6000 BTU GE. I also don't like that the front display lights stay on. On my old one, the front display would turn off after a few minutes. The filter design is the worst one I've ever owned. It's hard to slide in because it's right against the coils and the thermostat wire gets in the way. I took the front off and tucked the wire to the side and it's better, but still not great. It's nice and cold, though.

This ac is absolutely perfect for a small to mid sized room. It’s easy to install and the cooling is much more than I expected. It gets cold!! I don’t mind ac noise, so I can’t comment on that. I don’t think it’s any louder than any other ac I’ve had. Recommended highly!

Though small, this little window unit has some cold winds behind it. We are currently using it in our master bedroom and it is working just right. It will have to work a little harder on houston hot days, but it will get cool especially once the sun starts setting

Bought this for my mom and she loves it. Her room is 10 by 15 and it’s more than enough to cool her room and it’s also very quiet. This AC is also light enough for her to take down on her own if she ever needs to and she likes that it comes with a remote.

Low, soothing , even sound. Easy to install. Cools quickly, only problem I have is the power button is not backlit so I need to turn on the lights if I want to change a setting or turn it on or off at night. Other than that, it's great!

I purchased this unit to use in our bedroom, but we were unable to do so because once we got it home, we realized that we didn't have the correct kind of outlet in that room to plug it into. We did try it in our kitchen window and it worked well to cool both that room and the adjoining living and dining room, but wasn't quite powerful enough to make enough difference in the two bedrooms, so we ended up returning it and finding one with more btu's that was able to cool all four rooms. But as I said, it worked well to cool a space the size it was intended for. Wish it would have worked out for us to use it in our bedroom. Easy to install and use.

Great Air conditioner! You can install pretty safely and fast! It cooks up a room in no time and eco mode is great as well! We did pick up and the store rep was very nice and ensured we had all we needed! Thank you
