My house is about 2600 sqft. My ac died with weather in the 90s. I bought this while waiting for a repair part. I have a daylight basement facing east so it only gets the morning sun. The upstairs though was becoming stifling during the day. This little unit in my east facing upstairs window made the difference between feeling faint and just uncomfortably hot. It's no miracle worker of course but I decided to keep it just for such emergencies. It is relatively quiet and I just set it on auto and Eco for the mornings and let the whole house unit take over in the pm. I figure it's less wear and tear on my 29 yr old house unit which just cost me $1000 to repair. Remote is a nice touch since then I'll always have the touchpads on the unit in case the remote goes bad. Light weight made installation easy. I expect to use it from Apr-Oct. Takes the edge off the sun heating up the east side of the house in the am. This is a nice unit and works well for me. I believe I can return it directly to Best Buy if any problems during the warranty period.

Works great, the only negative is that the fan vent slots only move left and right not up and down so you can only direct the air left and right. But it cools the room I have it in great.

It was easy to set up, although you or your friend need to be strong enough to carry it around. Otherwise, it has been powerful enough to cool the room and adjacent ones.

The air conditioner itself works great. The only reason I got a four star rating was because the screens that come with the air conditioner for broke, and you cannot order any type of replacement parts.

We have bought to air conditioners for our large two bedroom apartment. Put one in the living room and one in the master bedroom and with a fan rotating the air it feels great in our whole apartment. Definitely recommend the 6000 btus! And I love the remote control functions.
