This unit work surprisingly well for it's size. The worst part is dealing with the hose that unscrews and the window panels that don't quite fit together. The actual unit is great but those pieces could use some work.

Easy set up. Cools my bedroom quickly. Smaller and lighter than my previous portable ac unit. Along with remote easy operation. I recommend this ac unit.

Worked well so far for our bedroom. Looks nice and isn't too loud. Wish the window outlet was easier to install and wish the exhaust hose was more flexible.

Love that it’ll cool my room within 5 minutes. Only part I didn’t like was the window kit, it leaves a big gap and the screws were pretty loose. Ended up getting a new window kit from Amazon. Other than that it does what it’s supposed to.

This unit cools the room quickly and is convenient with rollers to allow transitions from the bedroom in the evening to the living room during the day. The vent was just the right length to access the window and position the unit. The evaporative technology surprised us ... we could use it several days without having to drain the water and even then, it was less than a half of a cup of water. It was a life saver when our a/c unit went out in the house. The portability is such a convenience.

For a basic portable A/C unit, I’d say it does the job quite nicely. You can set a temperature, and let it do it’s thing. Because of this, I can now sleep comfortably in a room that just doesn’t cool well with central air. When the room gets to the specified temperature, it will shut off and resume as the temperature goes back up as needed. The unit itself is a bit on the heavy side, so be careful. Also, the window attachment does not come with foam, so I had to use tape to install it.

The unit runs perfectly cool but ideal for small enclosed bedroom. The condensate reservoir is big and took very long time for filling up. I ran for 3-4 days continuously and the condensate reservoir is still filled with very little condensate.

    Good Portable AC

So this Portable AC has been working hard ever since I bought it in late July. It seems durable and well made and hopefully will last at least 5 years. Took about an hour to setup as I had to fabricate a custom wood spacer for the exhaust duct to vent out (11" in width). However it recently displayed an error code of "E4". So under the troubleshooting section of the manual it says "Anti-Freeze Protection". But the manual doesn't say what to do if this happens. So I called GE Customer Service and they said it needs to be serviced but can't schedule an appointment for 60 days! Then they tell me someone will call me back in 24 hours. No call back as of today. The good news it is still blowing cold air so I don't believe it really requires service. So it is a good AC for the money, however GE Customer Service gets a 1 star rating.

I used this one for my room and man does it cool it down. I do have a small room so make sure to measure your room before buying. There is one that is a higher sq ft that you could buy (which I love as well) if your Room is bigger. The best part is that it has a timer so that I don’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it off because it does get a little chilly at night. I just wish it had a longer connecter (don’t know what it’s called lol)

Works great to keep our bedroom much cooler than our prior in window ac unit. Easy to set up out of the box. 4/5 only because the unit is a bit louder than expected but other than that is does the job well.

I bought this for my bedroom which is 11*16 with a queen bed, desk and dressers. It keeps my room cool and I only have it on 68 and low speed. The noise is a little louder than a window mounted one but it doesn’t keep me from sleeping sound. Had a learning curve on getting the exhaust (?) tube connected. Only a slight issue. Very satisfied and would recommend.

Does what it should. Lowered the temp in my bedroom from 87 to 76 in less than an hour. 2 hours later a very comfortable 70 degrees. My room is small. And I bought a cool aide to go on the hose.

    1) there are no foam strips to absorb the gaps in the windows even though the instructions say to install them, 2) there is only one single tiny screw provided to secure the tube attachment to the plastic window plate, even though there are holes on either side, 3) the plastic window plate had flanges that were too wide for my window tracks so they had to be cut down, which was simple enough. also would've been nice if if there was some kind of energy saving mode.

Use this for our master bedroom suite that is on the "hotest" side of the house. Late afternoon it really gets a boost and keeps the room comfortable. Now we turn off the main unit for the house at 10:00 PM and leave it off until 7:00 in the morning. Saving electricity and have a very comfortable bedroom to sleep in. Our house is 3100 sq ft and I think we are saving at least $ 40 per week doing this. We live in South Florida.

I purchased this ac to take to work with me to try and offset the 100+ degree office Inside of a bigger warehouse with no ac. Vented it up thru the ceiling and set it right beside my desk, now I have everyone trying to come in my office to cool off. 100% would recommend this ac. I transport it to and from work everyday with no problems and use it at both. If you use it inside a house in a bedroom it will freeze you out.

It does the job in a small room. The hose to vent out the window it a bit large and cumbersome to get to stay in the window. The instructions said there were weather strips included, but there were none in the box.

When I initially purchased this AC unit last year in July, I lived in an upstairs house in a room. When it was on the room was icy cool I loved it quite a brilliant AC. It does not have anything hanging out of the window which was apart of my lease and it worked great. I moved to a bigger house a few months ago and when spring came around in Michigan it gets hot fast. It keeps my whole living room and kitchen cold. I am definitely going to purchase another for my bedroom to have every part of my house cold in the 90s and higher in the summer. I have recommended this to friends and family who do not have central air and I will do it again. Great product!
