It's easy to install. It's a bit pricey for a plastic trim kit, but you don't really have any options. Once installed it does look good around the microwave.

Installation gave me a bit of a hard time, the construction of the exterior of the trim kit being mostly plastic (the face is a thin sheet of stainless) did make me nervous during installation that it might break... for the price I don't see any good reason this shouldn't be all metal. Highway robbery for a glorified piece of plastic.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we decided to upgrade our kitchen appliances from black to stainless steel about a year ago. replacing the existing microwave and trim kit with stainless steel was the last step. we were a little concerned about the finish matching the other appliances as well as the fit of the microwave. we purchased the GE microwave PEB9159SJSS and this trim kit. both items look nice and fit perfectly in our existing cutout. so we are please with the look. the only drawback to this unit is the price. considering that the trim kit is mostly plastic, i don't see why it costs over $200. other than that i don't have any complaints

The feet aligned, the vent aligned, the door opened,. Pocket holes on outside of the frame were a bit hard to access due to adjoining refrigerator cabinet sticking out further than microwave face. Not GE's fault. They are making a ton of margin selling this for the material involved. But, it is a necessary evil for a GE install.

Secondly the web site dimensions were wrong. Returned it. The web site and phone reps were no help. The phone reps actually put me on hold then hung up on two separate occasions when they claimed to be looking up information. Oh well, lesson learned.

Stainless Steel Trim Kit.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy did an excellent job installing the trim kit. Tech installed two pieces of wood trim to the cutout to make sure he had a solid place to screw in the trim kit. Trim looks perfect now.

I was disappointed, especially since I consulted with a Best Buy employee. It was returned.
