The slate finish is a beautiful look. Got tired of the stainless steel look with the glossy finish so the color is definitely a big reason to go with this model. I was skeptical about how annoying the door alarm can be but it does not bother me at all. Love that I have lots of room for storage. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a french-door refrigerator.

I was greeted with a friendly smile and was asked how I could be helped. The young man in the refrigerator section was such a delight. He was very helpful and friendly. He got everything figured out for me with no problem. I'm one very satisfied customer.

Good quality refrigerator, but could have explained that if we did not connect the water supply to the ice maker immediately, there would be a horrible, loud jackhammer sound from the unit that will not go away until the icemaker is turned off. It has a generic owners manual that shows the controls outside of the door with the water dispenser. Mine did not have a water dispenser, we looked extensively inside the unit. We found it on top, outside but on the edge of the frame behind the door when the door is closed.

Great refrigerator!!! Very spacious and a nice white color very different to that of old “gritty” textured refrigerators. Was going to buy stainless but glad we went with the white! Only negative I would say is the beeping when the doors are open for small periods of time but I’m sure it can be adjusted.

Limited selection in this color so chose this fridge and it’s fine. Does it job and food is correct temp and fridge looks nice. Drawers and shelves seen cheap compared to the Samsung we got rid of bc of the color. Ice maker is very loud. Nothing major but the Samsung was nicer IMO.

I haven't had my new refrigerator long but I really like everything about it. It's very roomy and the lighting in it is awesome. I had a GE for many years and loved it. When I had to buy a new one, I bought a different brand and regretted my decision to do that many times. That refrigerator lasted ten years, and although I knew I was going to have to spend money to buy a new one, I was actually glad when it had to be replaced. I decide to go back to a GE product. The whole family loves the new fridge. It is so roomy and and has everything we need.

The only two bothersome things about this refrigerator is that it makes an extremely high pitched ringing sound when the fan runs. Everyone in the house can hear it and it's very annoying. I'm assuming that in time we won't notice it as much and it's more pronounced when it's quiet in the house. I have tinnitus, (ringing in the inner ear), but this is way worse than that! The other thing is that it's difficult to find what you're looking for in the freezer drawer, being that everything is so stacked up. It's like digging for gold and it doesn't help that we have to share it with my mother-in-law, it's a 50/50 thing.

Beautiful refrigerator, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the SLATE finish. *Only negative is the "pre-historic" water source (drinking water spigot in the crease of door). Seems like they could come up with an easier to use spigot WITHOUT putting it on the front of the door.

the size is good for my family, i love the slate color of these ge applicances. however the bottom drawer squeaks every time we open and close. also there was an ice maker issue (leaking inside) that was likely to be a manufacturer defect, however best buy sent someone out to fix.

I needed a black refrigerator and this was the only one available. It is a great, if noisy, fridge. My 18 year old LG was quieter and I'd still be using it, if the ice maker hadn't stopped working. But overall, I'm please with the fridge except for the noise.

First, when my wife and I approached the appliance desk there was a very helpful salesman help us order the refrigerator with delivery date. Next, the technicians came and removed the old refrigerator and did such a great job installing our new refrigerator! We love the shelves and drawers and water tap inside the door (last refrigerator water door leaked all the time!). The GE slate 27 cubic foot french door refrigerator is really great and we have the comfort of being covered by your extended warranty with Geek Squad! You can't improve on our service and satisfaction!

LOVE this fridge. So much space and such a sleek design

I had to wait over a month to get this fridge, but it was worth the wait. The geek squad delivery guys were very professional and put everything back just right. Everything is working good. I’m a bit concerned about the bottom drawer in the top fridge area. It seems a bit flimsy, warps when opening and closing, not sturdy. I hope if/when it breaks it’s still in warranty.

Good buy fits our needs would but again I like the refrigerator size and lines

Amazing. We compared every fridge there is literally. And this is the highest quality ones by far. Even better than more expensive models. Doors feel solid. It doesn’t over swing. It has a tight close and really good space. Perfect fridge.

We replaced a side by side and could not be happier. The bottom freezer drawer is definitely the way to go. We can find everything now. The fridge itself is very configurable and has tons of space. With the ice in the freezer drawer and the water spigot inside, the front is very clean-looking. It was hard to et used to the inside of the fridge water dispenser at first, but after a month, it's like it was always that way. Really happy with this purchase.

I purchased this refrigerator to complement the other GE appliances that were included in my new home construction. The refrigerator fit perfectly in the designated area and the stainless matches the other appliances. You can custom organize the shelves to your needs. It has a water dispenser on the inside that is easy to use and hidden out of the way. I almost forget it’s there at times. The freezer has enough storage for food and the ice maker performs flawlessly.

I like it, the only thing is it is kind of loud. And I guess, like all fridges, the freezer drawer is kind of cheap.
