great refrigerator, large and sturdy. Ice is door so it does not take up frig or freezer space. don't care for feature that allows you to open just part of the door to get milk, etc. It opens when I am trying to get into the entire frig. Disappointed in delivery. Paid for set up but they only place the unit and hooked up water. Didn't put shelves or drawers in or remove plastic. It took 2 hour for us to complete install. What did I pay for?

Purchased this fridge over the summer along with matching microwave, dishwasher, and range. So far we have had no issues. More spacious than our previous fridge and easy to move the shelves to accomodate taller bottles. No issues with the ice maker. Especially love the slate color. Would recommend.

Great Fridge so far. Lots of room and does it’s job. We needed a new fridge for our new house and this was the choice we made... happy with it. May have gone with the non door in door in hindsight, but still a neat feature. Maybe not as useful as we thought it would be, but we do use it. Would recommend this fridge to anyone.

A definite improvement over my Samsung refrigerator which had an awful ice machine and water dispenser. Love that this ice machine is in the door, freeing up more shelf space. Never thought I would like a door-in-door design, but am actually finding it quite useful. The only thing I miss about my old fridge is the separate deli drawer. I don't like having to open both fridge drawers to access the deli drawer.

A lot more room since the ice maker is in the door but it is a little noisy. We have a fish tank so it doesn't bother us but I could see some people having issues with the noise. Really like the water dispenser as it can accommodate large bottles.

We bought this as a quick replacement for another brand fridge that quit right before Easter, so we were likely less studious in our acquisition than we might have been under other circumstances. That being said, this appears to be a solid appliance, with some nice features. The freezer is huge, and the top drawer holds plenty of thing like fries and waffles that we use a lot. The demi-door allows easy access to milk, juice, etc. without having to completely open the unit. Only drawback is that shelf adjustment inside does not allow for easy storage of big bottles. Between that and the fact that we can't comment on long-term reliability, we give it a 4.

This refrigerator is great on space. Love the luxury of having so much space. HATE the ice maker. Makes 7 small peices in an hour. Doesn't fill the litte bucket over night. Not great for a large family. I will have to purchase additional ice maker for the Freezer. Freezer is ok on space but now I will loose some space. Good thing I have a additional Freezer. Water is cold for the first 4 oz then the water gets room temperature. Overall happy with the appliance, NOT happy with the fact that at this price I have to buy an additional ice maker.

We really like that the height of the water and ice dispenser is perfect for our 6-8 year olds to reach easily. There is plenty of ice and production cycles keep up with our family of 5. The functionality of the drawers are practical, including the milk holder tray at the bottom of the right drawer that opens. We returned an LG fridge that had all of these bells and whistles, including an ice ball maker, because the ice was very low in production and the compressor broke after just one month. I wuld recommend this LG fridge to a friend. I will update this review as we have the fridge where appropriate.

I like these refrigerators but wish the ice makers weren’t so small. No one tell you when you are buying them you loose ice maker capacity. And I wish the 3 drawer would come out a little further. It barely opens.

We bought this unit during the memorial day sale and it was delivered 2 months later. After two days we heard this awful noise coming from the freezer area. We thought it was the fan cover but discovered it was a couple of cables in the fan assembly being hit by the fan blade. Before we discovered that we were prepared to return the unit, but since we waited so long we decided to see if we could fix the unit instead. I know, you shouldn't have to fix a new unit, but since it was so back ordered, we want to see what we could do to keep the unit. It was impossible to find a GE Slate refrig anywhere else. The unit is big and it cools well.

Bottom freezer door difficult to open when loaded. Workmanship at door hinges need to be inspected.

Good quality for the price, especially with price match. Very spacious and like the door in door feature. Cons: Little noisy at times and no removable water tray.

We've only had this fridge for about a month but so far, it's been great! Love the size and the ability to open only part of the door to reach things in the side shelf.

We asked our refrigerator repair man if there was one he would recommend he said no, but advised that he'd had issues getting parts sometimes for Samsungs and LGs. We really liked the door-in-door for our use and this was one of the few other brands that had that feature, plus the water and ice dispenser, and came in slate- which matches our range. My wife loves the freezer depth & trays, and the organization of the drawers in the 'fridge. I like the shape of the ice cubes- I know, but our last one made ice that exactly fit the curve of a water glass which dammed up the liquid and caused mishaps. This ice is a little smaller and has presented no problems. We love this unit- and as an open box it was a GREAT deal!

Props to the Best Buy install team as they were extremely friendly and helpful, even taking our old fridge from the garage and replacing it with our other fridge that we were updating. The fridge itself has worked great so far. The “dinging” that occurs when the fridge is left open too long is a nice feature, but can be annoying when trying to put up groceries. Also, just advanced warning, the water filter in this unit is a propriety filter and as of right now there are no “generic” versions as it uses a small microchip for the fridge to confirm the filter is genuine, and of course, those filters aren’t cheap (but do last 6 months so it’s not horrible)

As promised in specification. Well designed. Freezer is spacious and has the top drawer part for non meat supplies. Better design and quality than other similarly priced brands

We bought this refrigerator to replace the old side-by-side we bought when we built our new house 16 years ago. The door-in-door feature is great for those items you always seem to need to quickly grab from the frig without opening the entire (or even half) of the refrigerator section. The interior is well laid out and everything is easy to access. I'm not 100% sold on the large drawer freezer, which does not really lend itself to organization. I'm sure it's just something that takes getting used to. Overall, we are well pleased with this refrigerator which is a definite upgrade from our old frig.

Got this fridge about 3 weeks ago. You can’t hear it run at all. Only when the ice tray is empty and it drops do I hear anything from this fridge. Great door in door ability too.

Brand I trust. LG works without ever having to worry. It’s built solid and great support. Makes amazing ice that gets so many compliments.

So far, the best fridge we've ever had. It's so roomy, and the door-in-door feature is the best! There is a lot of freezer space, too. I'd buy it again.
