Nice finish but pretty lightweight

This trim looks nice once installed, but installation was not smooth. The holes to secure the trim to the included bracket did not line up so we had to drill extra room to extend under the trim openings. The trim face shown is plastic and not metal which was disappointing. Also we had to order two of them because the first trim face was bent in several places and was very noticeable and looked like a “second”. The last one we received, once installed, provided a nice finished appearance. Also we learned through the process of replacing our microwave, these trim kits are particular to individual microwaves and not interchangeable.

IT LOOKS VERY GOOD, AND ACCOMPLISHES WHAT WE WE LOOKING FOR. HOWEVER, IT COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS THE MICROWAVE, BUT YOU HAVE NO CHOICE WHEN YOU ARE USING A MICROWAVE UNDER 30" WIDE.

Cheap plastic piece

There is plastic that protrudes a few inches into the cutout area in the corners so you must have the minimum dimensions for the cutout. I can’t believe that they put such a high price on what is essentially a piece of plastic. Poor value for the $. Too bad because we love the microwave it goes with.

GE Microwave Frame

I did use the bottom to secure it into the cabinet but needed to create my own frame.

Corner of the door rubs slightly when opening.. Expected higher quality given price and long wait for shipping. I would recommend the trim kit because there aren't any alternative choices.
