The trim piece was a piece of plastic junk, not Stainless Steel, and did not properly cover the opening. Fortunately I had the original Stainless Steel trim frame and was able to adapt it to connect to the new mounting hardware.

Cheap plastic!

Though not really this trim’s fault, the matching microwave’s door wouldn’t open, and it kept running until I pulled the plug. I had to drill out the screws to remove this trim piece since installation requires you to open the door!

Since the door actuator broke on our less than 2 yr old PEB7227DLBB, we cannot get the door open to remove the trim, to get to the unit in order to fix the microwave.

Over a period of time, we think that the trim may fall off. It is basically the design of the kit.
