I bought this laundry center in August 2019 as part of a remodel. Didn’t actually install and start using it until November 2019. I have probably done 20-30 loads of laundry in it, there is rust spots all around the top of the inside tub! The dryer is fine but the washer is terrible. So Disappointed in this purchase!

I can't believe I paid $1439 for a washer/dryer that doesn't indicate when the cycles are finished. No buzz, no sound what-so-ever. I called GE, they said I had to by the $50 Wifi Adaptor to get a notification on my phone when the washer cycle is finished. I bought it and it now hangs just below the washer dial in the front. Looks terrible. So far nothing to tell me when the dryer is finished. Sorry I bought this.

The washer broke a week after we got it. A huge (12inx8in) piece of metal was layongon top of a half washed load of our clothes. It took setting up three different appointments to get it removed and replaced by Geek Squad due to there incapabilities and staffing. I had to use a laundrymat for 3 weeks. I am definitely going to rethink future purchses.

    Washer/Dryer combo

This combo washer dryer works well. The first one we had (same machine) lasted 8 years so hoping this one lasts longer. We like that the machine takes up little room in our laundry closet. I like having a top load washer.

Easy to operate and good size. I can fit quite a bit of laundry in the washer. Usually my load of bath towels is pretty big - 10 - 12 regular size bath towels, 4 hand towels and 8 washcloths. The washer easily handles this size load and the dryer has no problem drying them completely. The spin cycle is pretty thorough and it seems long, but it definitely helps with drying quicker. The water level can be set to precise fill or small, medium, large or super; which was a HUGE selling point for me. I like to make sure all of the clothes are covered with water. The machine is a little loud but for the size and price of this machine, it's worth it. Overall, it's a good value and I'm happy with my purchase.

    Eats your laces!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So my landlord bought this combo for our apartment about 3 years ago. We use it about 2-3 times a week and still works fine, in terms of washing and drying. The biggest reason I give it a 2 stars is because never in my life have I ever had a dryer eat my clothes. If your clothes has laces, you need to tie them so they aren’t flopping around and inverse the clothes so the laces are inside the clothing (whether it be pants or hoodies). If you don’t, it will get caught on the top right side of the dryer, above the door. N you will hear like a strange sound that tips you off something is wrong. I have to rush to the dryer and immediately open it to stop the dryer from destroying my laces. Some pieces of my laces have fallen off into the abyss of this machine, forever gone. We been able to mitigate this by doing the procedure I mentioned above but it doesn’t make it a foolproof plan, maybe someone who sees this and can relate, may have found a better solution. If you did please share! But other than that, it does the job in washing and drying, never had any leaking issues or any other major issue. Due to the limited space in my apartment, can’t really get anything else, cause in NJ you pay $2000 a month for a hobbit hole. Anyways, if ur clothing doesn’t have any laces... I would definitely recommend this machine, aslong as loudness doesn’t bother you as the spin cycle is screaming at the top of its lungs to inform you it’s spinning.

Has been reliable for about a year now. Overloaded it once and it slipped off of the belt, so i had to get bestbuy tech to come a fix it(my fault). (WOULD RECOMMEND THE BESTBUY WARRANTY FYI). Dries a large load of clothes in 40-50 minutes, washing cycle takes around an hour BUT the clothes do get clean! Space saving and fairly cheap for what you get, the quality isn't bad and its not a front loading washer so you dont have to break your back loading and unloading loads. I would recommend leaving the washer lid open to dry out the machine after use as I don't notice any bad smells coming from it. Works great! WISH THAT THERE WAS A ALARM THAT WENT OFF WHEN IT WAS DONE, ALSO a dedicated "cleaning cycle" so I knew I was using the correct cycle every month with the cleaning tabs!

so far, it seems it is doing a good job. The unit is efficient and the dryer is a good size. It is also energy efficient and it does not take a lot of space. We have had it for about 10 days, so we will see in 2-3 months what happens.

I’ve had this washing machine for over a month at least and my kids and I have been very impressed with how well it works and how much it fits! I was a little bit worried with how the angle would be being because the lid doesn’t open all the way, but it’s actually perfect!

Had one before and loved it. Went with my home which sold. New home came with front loaders hated them. Stooping and reaching for the odd sock or underware left in there. Thrilled when washer broke and I went and bought this unit right away. Love it love it. Does not have audible dings when loads are finished and does not have dings when drying done. The only fault, however I just set the timer on my watch. Minor detail.

I love the unit. It is the right size for our space and it fits a good amount of clothes. Not giving 5 starts because it is a bit noisy, but I'm OK with that... just close the laundry room door and it is not that bad.

    GOOD POINTS AND BAD POINTS

This appliance is replacing my 20-year old Maytag Neptune stack unit. PROS: The spin cycle is very quiet and smooth. It also spins out until the clothing has hardly any moisture. Basically no vibration at all. Controls are stupid simple. The wash tub is slightly larger than my Neptune. CONS: It is harder to load and unload the washer, since it is a top-loader and the dryer portion overhangs the washer. The washer makes a noise during agitation. I'm sure it's normal, but it will take some getting used to. The "precise fill" water level control seems to be be a little shallow. I would like to override the lid safety so i could observe the agitation action. I think it should use more water, since it uses the old-fashioned agitator, rather than tumbling the clothes like the Neptune does. The spin cycle seems to go on and on, but I haven't timed it yet......definitely longer than the Neptune. Also, neither the washer or dryer has an interior light.

It holds a lot of laundry and washes clean with minimal water usage, thanks to its built-in settings. Switching from an older stackable, this one is much bigger on usable space inside the washer and dryer. Very impressed with this unit.
