The fuse for the infinite switch broke two times on two separate models. First cooktop: Switch broke after 6 moths and tripped the circuit. Second cooktop: Literal sparks flew inside the glass near the switch. Tripped the circuit breaker. Electrician tested the lines and circuit breaker after disconnecting cooktop, circuit breaker works fine. When reconnecting to the cooktop, trips the circuit. I have a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan. Geek Squad is refusing to do anything about this even though the plan activates DAY OF PURCHASE. They want me to contact GE. If both GSP and 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty run concurrently, why does the customer need to waste their time and coordinate between 2 entities?

The product is Ok but the delivery was awful. I have to wait for mos than 3 month to be delivered

I’m very happy with this GE 30” electric cooktop. It has a clean, modern look that fits perfectly into my kitchen. The black glass surface looks elegant and is surprisingly easy to wipe down after cooking. The burners heat up quickly and evenly, making it great for everything from simmering sauces to boiling water fast. I really like the layout of the burners — there’s a good mix of sizes for different pots and pans. The control knobs feel sturdy and responsive. Installation was straightforward, and the cooktop fit perfectly into my existing counter cutout. Overall, it’s a great value for the quality. I’d definitely recommend this GE cooktop to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen with something stylish, reliable, and efficient!

This was very quick and easy to install. Once you see the paperwork that goes with it, there are downsides as to what types of pots/pans work well on the cook top. My guess is that these apply to all glass cook tops and not just this specific one. Essentially they recommend AGAINST enamel on steel--enamel may melt and bond to glass surface: as well as glass-ceramic, stoneware, and cast iron--- may scratch the surface and have poor performance. Copper bottom pans may leave permanent residues or if overheated bond to the surface. You are basically left with Stainless steel and heavy weight aluminum (light weight aluminum can melt). Also it says not to place wet pans on the surface as they may stick. Also they warn to not place aluminum baking sheets or frozen dinner containers on the hot surface as they my leave permanent shiny dots. Also, sugar from things like syrups or melted plastic can cause pitting of the surface that is not covered by warranty and will require the replacement of the glass top. One last thing, it is hard to keep it looking clean. So it works fine, but has lots of rules to follow so that it will perform well and not get damaged. We choose this one because it has fast boil option and a keep warm option and a melt option. I have not used any of these yet, but the regular burners all heat up quite quickly anyway and seem to have a good range of temperatures for an electric stove.

The cooktop was easy to install ourselves, taking less than 15 minutes. It has exceeded our expectations. We would definitely purchase it again.

Love the new cook top , it has more features than my old one and I love the silver accent on the knobs!!

So far so good! This GE cooktop heats up quickly and distributes the heat evenly. The install was straight forward and very simple. I've really enjoyed cooking on this unit, our last GE lasted almost 25 years, so I am hoping we just as long out of this one. Got this unit on a new year sale and the price was about 1/3 of the normal cost. Thank you!

So far this has been a great stove top! It fit almost perfectly within the space I had for it, and it works great! For the price, I think it looks very stylish and functions well! Great value for sure

I love this cooktop! I like the layout of the burners, and choices of small and large burners. Love the Power Boil. Heats quickly and then keeps at a nice rolling boil.

Sales people were very informative about the product and price was good.

The top is the best. The stove has a great 5 plates
