The serviceman encountered some unexpected difficulties with the size of the hole in our counter but he went out of his way to adjust for it and make the installation successful the first time. We appreciated that a great deal. The unit seems to be working fine.

I read all the reviews. It's true the knobs are plastic, BUT I do not have any issue with any melting. Obviously the burner was turned up too high. This cooktop is a must have.

Heats well ..they have an extra bigger burner in the middle that is good for bigger pans or for faster heating. Live mine!

First, our prior GE stove had a main gas line knob that would turn off the gas. This model is missing that feature. Furthermore, you will likely melt at least one knob. Finally, it is pretty tight to use all 5 burners at the same time if your cooktop is against a wall on either the left or right side.

When I wanted to buy it Best Buy was the only place I could get it. It wasn't even available online. I bought it and it was delivered promptly to my door. Thanks Best Buy.

The cooktop does not scratch easily as some reviewers indicated. You clean stainless with appropriate cleaner and the grates stay in place. I love the cooktop. I do wish it had indicator lights when on otherwise perfect.
