What a nice five burner gas unit that heats food & cooks food so fast & easy to clean

Beautiful cooktop! Easy clean up. Plenty of space for 5 pots at once!

Scratches SO easily. Very disappointing. Cooks evenly and is very powerful (especially the middle “powerboil” piece, but this cooktop is not even 3 months old and we are a two-person, no children very careful household and this thing looks like it’s 5 years old. Actually, I lived in my last house for 7 years and my cooktop at that house looked new when I left it. The grates are extremely heavy and cumbersome and even just carefully placing them back after cleaning causes scratches in that area. Mild cleaning of the stainless with microfiber and I have scratches everywhere. Also as others have mentioned the knobs are plastic and can melt VERY easily. Beware of that too. I’m so bummed about this purchase. This is a good cooktop functionally. But it’s a disaster in terms of keeping it up. An absolute disaster.

We purchased this as a replacement for a 2004 gas cooktop that only had 4 burners and the knob controls down the right hand side. Unfortunately the old stove did not have the features of this beauty. We now have 5 burners - with a large burner for quick boiling in the center, two down the side that can accommodate great breakfast griddling, a soft simmer in the back for holding things at serving temps and a regular burner in the front for good soup/veggie/rice prep. PLUS all of the controls are in the front - so no reaching past burners that are lit for controlling flame height!!! BIG safety feature.

Great improvement from my previous cooktop. One additional burner in the same footprint. Makes countertop seem more spacious.

Breakfast complete in a jiffy. Easy cleaning. Each part of the range is efficient. If you are looking to construct an island this is an excellent cooktop. See my picture.

We purchased this stove 4 weeks ago and it looks like I had it for years. This stove scratches very easily. We had another GE “30” stovetop for 8 years which never had one scratch appear on it. We purchased this one because I want a 5 burner versus a 4 burner. It also takes much longer to cook the. Our previous GE Stovetop.

I can’t even use the cooktop. I had it delivered had new countertops put in. After the cooktop was installed we say that the middle grill is broken in half. Tried Best Buy since I purchased it from them on their website. They tell me I have to bring a picture of the broken grill to the store before they will send me a new one. I ordered online because I do not live near a Best Buy. So then I tried GE and as I was given the agent the serial # somehow the connection was lost and now I can’t get through. After paying so much money and not to be helped is so crazy to me. I purchased this less than 30 days ago, no reason they can’t just send me a grill. Talk about horrible customer service. I guess they don’t care that it can’t be used and dinner can’t be made. I will definitely never purchase anything else from Best Buy.

Bought new appliances to replace old ones in a home we had for sale. I am certain the new appliances is what sold the home.

I bought it for my mom for Mother’s Day!! A little late….but it’s better late than never…lol She loves it!!

We had this unit literally one week when the stainless steel surface became deeply scratched the first time the cast iron grates were moved. I can't believe GE doesn't know about such an obvious materials conflict; I'm sure that, like mine, these units are being returned all over the country. Best Buy was great and took it right back.

After few months of usage.. Bad quality steel used or blistering of paint (air bubble) . My old GE cooktop last 15+ years without any issues.. pics attached..

We found this cooktop while looking for a fridge. I really loved that it was the same size as my previous cooktop but has more cooking space. I love having 5 burners and it has been really easy to clean. Installation took about 5 minutes once I had all my tools in place. It will scratch easily but really only under the grill grates.

The cooktop looks great and works wonderful . The fifth burner does the trick with the Pasta dinners. Just be careful with the knobs. After reading other reviews was nervous about the knobs but common sense and care is the answer.

Buyer beware! Bought this cooktop from Home Depot in November of 2018 and within a week of installation one of the plastic knobs had melted. Sure, perhaps a pot got a little too close but surely the knobs could be heat resistant rather than made from some cheap plastic material! Should have checked for that before I purchased. Also, the fake silver finish on the knobs has begun to wear off, after 5 months! GE obviously cut corners to reduce cost. Would be nice if they at least offered aftermarket replacement steel knobs. If you are considering purchasing this product and care about its long term appearance, I would strongly advise against it and consider an alternative cooktop from another manufacturer.

Great product. Sleek design, easy on and off with fire,easy to remove grates, grates are flat completey across cooktop for easy resting things on when cool.

I've had this cooktop for a couple of months now. it is much easier to clean than my old gas with glass cooktop. The power of the burners is plenty for me. The one thing I don't like is that the knobs are plastic. I am afraid we will one day set a hot pan on them and melt them. I would love metal knobs instead so I knocked off one star.

Great stove top! Easy to clean, and pots and pans stay on sturdy because the grates go straight across. My only issue was the knobs chipping after having it only a month.

The overall quality is great. The cooktop provides a full range of cooking capacity to meet the whole family's needs yet it is very easy to clean. The drawback for the plastic knots is that they can melt if the heat is set on high for a long time.
