Installation guys messed the wiring around the motor, which led to short circuit just 4 months after installation. Highly UNPROFESSIONAL !! Won't buy again.

The first one the light were dangling out, so i bought a new model and one of the two light bulbs didnt make over 4 hours.

If you are selling this item as is you should state in order to vent outside it will be necessary to purchase other equipment.

Buyers Beware

You have to buy both separately and both are currently on back order on the GE website (which is the only place you can buy these...) This hood has been sitting on in my kitchen table for almost two weeks now. Debating if I should I should just return this unit and go with a different brand who's power cables are more easily accessible. I cant speak to the quality because I can't even use the thing.

The charcoal filters are only necessary if you are installing it to recirculate. The power cord required will be determined by the outlet in your home. Bad vent hood
