It is relatively quiet, yet the lights are incredibly powerful. However, the outer part of the column is not tall enough to cover the entire column. Either way, it is pretty good in terms of its functions.

After the cabinets went it we installed this hood. It's beautiful functional and made the kitchen in an older home pop. It was the final touch to a remodeled modern kitchen. I wish it were mine, whoever buys this house will be wowed by the beautiful clean lines.

Posted .Hello - We are glad that your range hood is operating properly, but we do apologize that you experienced trouble cleaning the unit. This would be discouraging and we can understand your apprehension. We emphasize not using steel wool pads or other abrasive cleaners, as they can scratch the surface. It looks great in the kitchen and runs very quietly and all three speeds. We like having the two options with the lights. Nothing bad to say about this one. Looks great.

It has a lot of options for fans and I've never seen such great lighting on a hood. Using it the first time wasn't the easiest, but once you know what all the buttons do it works great!

They sell the kit assuimung u are going to take the cheap contractor route and blow the air back in your house out the top part of their system.

Love the fact that it has a light with variable settings, also. Nice product.

The remote was not in the box. I am waiting to hear from GE about getting it replaced. Except for missing remote, this is a really nice vent, quiet. Works well.
