The dimensions didn't work and I had to remove wood from the cutout in our kitchen. Trying to sync with the bottom screw holes with the top proved next to impossible. If you afford it, pay for the installation. Looks good once completed but I blew a Saturday working on it.

Trim kit in black

It's a little overbearing for the microwave. It still looks good, but I think it would look better if it wasn't quite so wide and perhaps if the lines (it's a rectangle) were a little softer looking.

I found the one I like and within my price range. Got help from Best Buy staff to look for a compatible trim kit for GE - Profile 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave. The kit arrived in the mail in good condition. I was able to install without issues. Perfect fit. I can't ask for anything more.

What a dumb design! No wonder GE is down in the dump.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.good product, but I don't care for the looks as much as my old one (also GE, ca 2003). although looks are a matter of taste, it was also more complicated and difficult to install than one would be led to believe. and if the microwave ever needs to come out, will be more difficult to remove & handle as well.
