The sound level of your portable a/c varies depending on fan speed. There's approximately 56 dBa (decibels) at the maximum fan speed setting. By way of comparison, 60 dBa is the sound level of normal conversation measured 3 feet away; the average ambient noise level in a home is 50 dBa.

It was easy to install for a >60 5ft female! Have not had to use in emergency yet, but have turned on to try it briefly and it seems if will be perfect for reason I purchased it

It works well and cools it down good. It’s a little loud depending on the fan speed but it’s not that bad. Easy to fall asleep with it running

Effective air conditioning unit

We used it on the salon of boat, which is ~250 sq ft, and has windows all around, so there is a heavy sun load. This unit cooled the salon effectively for a couple of weeks until we were finally able to fix the AC. I appreciate that it never drew more than ~10 amps, so we could keep other devices plugged into the same circuit.

I originally bought this for my bedroom but it works so well i decided to put it in the living room. I'm very picky about what i purchase so i wanted a reputable brand with a good rating so I went with the G.E. So far so good. I needed this for the sweltering heat of summer.
