    Couldn't get a non-damaged one from Best Buy

    This review is not for the wine fridge. We never actually got a working one from BB. We ordered this a couple of weeks ago, finally came in & looked as though they had played soccer with it at the warehouse before sending it to us. Fine, it happens. Took it back to the store, no problem. Reordered another one, thinking that was just an accident as we have ordered a number of things from BB for delivery. The 2nd one came today & looked worse than the first one. We had time to look at it before it was dropped off this time & we were able to refuse delivery. Even the UPS driver was shocked at how dented & dinged it was. I don't know if there was a batch of these that were all damaged or what, but we are ordering this from someone else now as we need it in order to install in our kitchen remodel & just can't take ANOTHER chance at a broken one.

    Design is very good but quality is garbage. This was the first and last GE product I ever buy. After almost a year and a month (a month over warranty period), it broke and it almost cost the same amount of money as buying a new one. In addition it is not a quiet cooler either. Do your research before buying one. Their customer service is very time consuming, if you don't believe me call them first to see how they are: 1-800-386-1215. If it was up to me I would not even give them one Star as Zero Star is not an option.

    Be careful paying so much for this GE product

    The GE wine fridge/cooler stopped working after 24 months. I tried to reset the cooling setting several times to get it to cool below 73 degrees but nothing worked. The unit at best buy, when purchased was on sale for $425 when purchased but it now sells for $810 for the exact same unit.

    The GE 125 Can/31 Bottle Beverage and Wine Center is about the size of a medium size mini fridge. This one is dressed up a bit with black metal casing and a stainless steel door frame with handle and full view glass panel front. It includes five wooden (oak) grates/shelves, two half shelfs (one for the base of the inside of the unit, another half shelf which combines with the compressor hump, which forms another full shelf and three other full shelves which can slide in and out. The wooden grates/shelves add a nice touch and seem like they will function well. There is a two digit LED which displays temperature. There are also multiple buttons used to set temp, turn light on or off and change between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The light is one of those LED bulbs which look like an old style filament type, it lights the inside of the fridge well and provides another nice touch to this good looking unit. Functionality wise the fridge is easily loaded and maintains temperature well. The compressor cycles on and off and is fairly quiet, producing a bit of heat, when the refrigerator is running you don't have to catch it (old joke). The manual say this fridge can be installed within a cabinet if needed. I have mine on the floor, however at that angle you really can't see the LED temperature display if this matters to you. Overall this is a pretty nice beverage "center" which would look at home in a cabinet, on top of the back of a bar or just standing alone on the floor in your living room, den or mancave or she shack (to ripoff an insurance commercial). Pros: - Looks good - Maintains beverage temperature - Inside light/glass front on stainless steel door frame - lockable so others or minor can't get to your stash Cons: - Light on or off, no apparent door switch which turns it on and off - Door came slightly misaligned - Temperature display not readable when on floor without opening the door

    Nice, low cost addition to our wine cellar. This fridge has everything we were looking for - wooden racks, interior light to feature higher end beverages and lockable. Perfect!

    This fridge exactly what it states, holds your beverages and keeps them cold. I haven’t had any issues with it and holds plenty. I love the locking capability as well. Great fridge1

    Cooler is working well. I wish the light was brighter. I had to return first cooler delivered. A lot of damage and it’s like it was used before as all the protective plastic had been removed.

    I'm sure it's a good unit, but we bought it for the reason that it would fit under our counter and when delivered it was way off! Do yourself a favor and double check the model on GEs site first.

    It came damaged, with a dirty film, and rust spots . It almost looks like Best Buy repackaged a used item and sold it at full price. Calls and messages to Best Buy led to no success. I had one associate on the online chat end the chat on me while speaking with him about finding a solution. The others told me to contact the store but I never got an answer on multiple calls waiting 30+ mins. I would not recommend doing business with Best Buy at all.

    Suddenly stopped working

    Owned for 6 months, never move it, not enclosed so gets plenty of air flow, suddenly stopped working. Check on fridge and instead of being 52 deg to keep the expensive contents at perfect temp but it had heated up to 75 deg! After urgently transferring contents I have tried to unplug and reset temps but it no longer cools and is completely non functional. I would expect this from cheaper “lower end brands” but for what I paid and the GE name this is unacceptable.

    A beautiful product, but it lasted less than 5 months. It took GE another 2 months before they determined that it needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, a replacement was not available.

    Arrived damaged!

    Arrived damaged. The copper coil was bent and hanging out the back. We had driven 200 miles to get it and they could not order a replacement so we kept it and got the extended warranty. Not how you want to start out with a product. Poor customer service!
