So we all have some sort of beverage we want to keep cold. Soda, water, beer, wine. This will cover it all The shelves are made out of wood, and look great through the glass door. Even included a shelf for the bottom row, to complete the look Light on the inside and adjustable temperature at a finger tip Quiet running. Even standing next to it you barely know it is on I have not been able to try all combination of beverages to see when it fills. But at 3/4 fill everything is cold in a practical period of time and remains cold Solid pull rod to open the heavy glass door, no question that is going to open Beautiful presentation up from with the shine and the glass. Only thing to be aware, while it is sized to do it, you should NOT install this in an enclosed cabinet. The compressor is in the back and by design the heat needs to escape. Putting it in a cabinet will lower its efficient and could cause it to over heat A bottom lock that is no joke, will keep your beverages secure from everyone

Didn't make it 2 years before it stopped cooling. Had a repairman diagnose it and would cost more to fix than we paid for it. But it did work great for 20 months.

This cooler is large about the size of a small refrigerator , not your typical wine/ can cooler. We do not drink wine but use this in the garage for water & tea. The shelves are removable & adjustable so that bottles or cans can be upright instead of flat. The shelves are a very nice finished wood & the door is glass & stainless which shows fingerprints a bit easy but it’s very sturdy. This ran a bit hot during set up which is normal & it’s fairly quiet while it’s running. You can adjust the temperature from 41 - 61 degrees depending on your beverages. We have it set at 44 degrees & it keeps our drinks nice & cold. Only the door is stainless the rest is finished in black. There is also a set of keys & this can be locked. My only peeve was that the keys were locked inside the cooler when we got it so a bit of lock picking was needed . Despite its size it fits nicely & looks good.

    Silent & Cool

This review is for GE - 125 Can / 31 Bottle Beverage and Wine Center - Stainless steel. First of all let me tell you why this is an EXPENSIVE beverage cooler. the answer is simple: This is a cooler that is designed to be used in a cabinet or as part of you storage. meaning, it does NOT require any space between the actual cooler and the wall or cabinet. It is designed to fit into cabinets with Zero space between the back, the sides, and the wall. What a design like this requires, is a system that does not need ventilation and does not over heat. and the cooler meets both requirements flawlessly. Finally, this cooler is Silent, like always silent. no buzzing, no humming, no sounds at all (except for the first 12 hours after installation and the initial cooling period). The door hinges can be swapped to change the opening from right to left & vice versa. The cooler has a light that can be either always on or always off. the least temperature i could set for the cooler is 41 degrees Fahrenheit. which is great for all sort of drinks. This cooler is a home run, it keeps my drinks cool at the desired degree, you cannot hear it, its always cool on the outside and it doesn't get warm or hot on the outer sides, and its well designed and built.

This is a very solid beverage cooler with a very solid build quality. The cooler does what it's supposed to do, keeps your beverages cool. Wooden removable shelves for cleaning and storing larger items. Temperature can be set anywhere between 41 deg F to 61 deg. F. There is also an interior light with a switch. The inside temperature will increase slightly if the light is left on. The odd thing is that it came with a Canadian energy usage guide and is listed at 187 kWH per year. I was a bit worried about the energy usage of having something like this running all the time. The actual rating of the unit is 115VAC and 1.3 amps. Plugged it into my Kill-a-watt meter and it sits at 1 to 2 watts, with light on its about 15 watts. Compressor kicked on and its right around the the name plate rating (a bit lower actually).

This is the first time I have owned a secondary fridge and I have loved how it has opened up storage space in my primary fridge. I keep this one in my garage for now, but will likely move it under a kitchen counter during a future remodel. Here are my thoughts after using it for several days. Pros: - Excellent design and build quality. It's sturdy and looks high-end. - Shelves can be removed based on your storage preferences. - It can be fine tuned to a specific temperature setting that you prefer. - You can use it as a stand-alone fridge and place it anywhere you like or place it under a counter. The dimensions are such that it will fit under any standard counter-top. - It can fit into tight spaces and does not need ventilation. - The LED lighting can be left on and looks really cool in the dark. Cons: - The lowest setting is 41 degrees. If you like your beer or soda extra cold you will want to keep those in your primary fridge. This is not meant to be a primary fridge so keep that in mind. This is an excellent option if you are looking to free up space in your refrigerator and would provide some nice eye-candy to any kitchen. I think it is best suited for wine drinkers, however.

This refrigerator holds as much as it says it can. Set up is simple, plug and let it do it's thing. Temperatures are reached quickly and it runs very quiet. Very solid and looks great in any room. Definately made for the floor would look out of place on a countertop etc, it's a fairly large unit. So far very pleased and hope to use it for a long time

Overall, there isn't much to say bad about this GE beverage center. The can and bottle amounts are as-advertised, meaning you'll actually be able to fit 30+ bottles or 100+ cans inside. Setting the temperature is a breeze, and I've never had any problems in that department. The cedar shelves are easy to move around, and I feel confident in the appliance holding up over time. There is an included lock should you prefer to lock the door from unwanted hands (like my 1-year old). The only con really is that the fridge comes with a very odd smell upon opening the appliance. It has since subsided, but something to note. dI can't comment on durability yet or longevity, but that will come. This is a great cooler, and I've received numerous comments about its looks since I've had it which is great. It looks and feels premium, and should last a long time. Fully recommended.

The Unit is very well constructed, , all seams are closed and fitment is spot on, the door, trays, compressor and pluming are solid with no wobble or loose feeling when you shake unit. The Sound level as the fridge is cooling is very acceptable, when installed in a bar or cabinet area you can barely hear it. The wooden shelves are designed to keep bottles or cans from shifting when you take one out. The back lighting is sufficient when the fridge is full. I do have one complaint. The fridge only cools from 41 degrees to 65 degrees. When I found this out I was a little disheartened as I love my beverages to be extremely cold, like Ice chip cold. This temp of 41 is well off from that. But it’s something I will have to live with (hence my 3 stars). Set up was easy as the box and packing just slid off, so no heavy lifting to remove it. I set the levelers and after waiting a few hours to let the Freon settle as directed to do,I powered the unit on, the temp was at the lowest setting within 30 minutes, I loaded my beverages for my man cave and they were cooled by next morning (probably sooner but I let them cool overnight) I love the glass front and the stainless sides, the see through front glass makes it easy to choose what you want before even opening the door up. Something I wish my fridge in the kitchen had so my kids wouldn’t stand in front of it for hours just staring!! Over all this is a very nice unit and is great for wine drinkers as they give you a chart on industry set standards for different types of wine and the temperature you should set them at, in the directions. For the most part the cans of beer and soda temps are OK, but I find myself having to drink them faster as they are not as cool as I would like them to be, so if left to sit out for long they will be too warm to drink. If you can get by this, then this is the fridge for you.

The GE Beverage and Wine Center has ultra convenient performance features. The easy use push buttons controls quickly adjust the temperatures at the push of a button. I like the way I can quickly adjust the cooling temperatures base on the type of beverage I wish to cool. I use the guide with wine serving temperature suggestions that is conveniently stored on the inside of the wine center. The Beverages Center is is an elegant compact storage with stainless steel framed glass door. The stainless handle compliments the door frame. I would recommend this unit to any wine enthusiast.

I never have the max amount of wine bottles or cans to actually fill this thing up but with 4 wine bottles and 40 cans I was able to keep my beverages at optimal temperatures. I practically replaced my dish washer to place this beverage cooler there and it fits in quite nicely! I like the color and it matches the rest of my kitchen. I save a lot of space in my fridge by having this beverage cooler and it doesn't take long before I can grab a cold drink from it. You can change the temperature if you like but I just kept it at its default setting. Can't go wrong with this beverage cooler.

Decent beverage cooler, better suited for wine

This beverage cooler does a pretty good job of keeping our bottles of wine cooled to the right temperature. What I find a little lacking in this unit is in its ability to cool other drinks. If you are using this only for wine, then this cooler will work well for you. Bottles were chilled to a nice temperature for wine drinking (41 - 50 degrees). There is also a handy chart inside the door with recommended temperatures for various wine types. However, the lowest possible setting for this cooler is 41 degrees. While this is plenty suited for wine, some might find it sub-par for other drinks. It would be nice if this cooler could be lowered to 37 or even 35 degrees to get more cooling capacity. Another disappointing factor with this unit was that the wooden shelves (which are actually quite nice) can only be removed and are not adjustable vertically. This essentially means that you can either use the shelf or remove it; there is no option to raise/lower any of the shelves. Finally, I was a little shocked to see that a standard, incandescent light bulb was used to light the inside of the fridge. It's 2019, why would GE not use a LED to light the inside of the cabinet. On the positive side, the compressor is quiet and you can barely tell that it is running and it does recover quickly when the door is opened for a more than average length of time. Overall, this beverage cooler is suiting us well for keeping wine cool and at the ready.

I use this wine fridge as a freestanding wine fridge. However the manual says this fridge can be built Into a counter space with 0 inches of clearance on all sides or be used as a free standing mode. This is confusing since Best Buy categorizes the fridge as freestanding with means you would not want this fridge to be installed flush with your cabinets. Free standing fridges will overheat uf installed as a “built-in” wine fridge. This isn’t the quietest fridge but I don’t expect GE products to be quiet. My kitchen refrigerator is a GE and it sounds like a jet plane taking off! The modular nature of the wood shelves are great for everyone since we all have different needs. The biggest drawback to the fridge is it is a single zone. Therefore, if you want your white wines to be colder than red wines you should look for a dual zone wine fridge with two doors.

So far I am very happy with this unit. I got this mini-fridge to specifically use as a wine fridge, although it can also be used for other beverages. It came well packaged in the box and already completely assembled. I just opened the box, plugged it in and waited for it to cool to the temp I set and it was ready to load. No set up required, other than leveling it with the two front leveling feet, if needed. There are 5 shelves in this unit. The description says three shelves and two half shelves, but in my opinion there is really only one half shelf. The second shelf from the bottom is only a half wooden shelf, but there is a plastic area behind it at the same level, so you can still place full bottles of wine from front to back on that shelf. The bottom half shelf still holds wine, but they have to be placed sideways to fit. I've got about 20 bottles of wine in my fridge. The description says it will hold 31 bottles of wine. I'd say that is about right, but you do need to stack the bottles on the top two deeper shelves to get that many bottles in, which is not a problem. I have a few extra bottles stacked two-deep on one shelf and it holds them just fine. This is a nice looking fridge. All black and stainless steel, with a tinted glass door. It can be used as a stand-alone unit or slid under a cabinet. It has a lock and key to keep kids out, if needed, and interior LED lights to easier see what you have in there. It has electronic controls to allow you to easily set it at the exact temperature you want. The only suggestions I would have for improvement would be to make the shelves adjustable. The placement of the shelves is not really a problem if you are only using it for wine bottles, which is what I am doing. However, if you were using it for other types of beverages, you may have to arrange them differently than you would like based on the set heights of the shelves. One other thing to note is that this whole unit can only be set to one temperature. Some wine coolers come with different zones that can be set at different temperatures for whites vs. reds. So if you are using this unit for wine, it works best if you have all reds or all whites at the same temp. I have both in mine and have it set at 55 degrees for the red wine. If I want to drink a white, I can transfer it to my regular refrigerator for a short time to bring the temp a little cooler. All-in-all I would recommend this unit, as it makes a very nice wine fridge!
