I have purchased GE appliances for over 40 years and continue to be satisfied

I bought this from Best Buy because they always stand behind their products

Didn't even last 2 years. The front panel would lock up where it couldnt even get turned on and off. I was using a heavy duty electric cord. I called customer service while the unit was still under warranty and was told it was because of the heavy duty extension cord the power panel would lock. After that it was plugged directly into a wall outlet and died not even 6 months later. The power panel still locked up even when plugged into a wall outlet. Thanks for wasting my money and yoy customer service was clearly bot educated about the issue with this dehumidifier. Stay away from this brand. Am done wirh GE.

Worked great while it worked. Quickly removed humidity from basement. That said, this cheaply manufactured product only lasted 2 weeks beyond its one year warranty date. Unfortunately, replacement parts aren’t available as of this review to fix it.

Works good. Cellar stays nice and dry, No musty odor

This is a good unit but it is way too loud. It works well for a smaller area but not for an entire house.

It really makes breathing way more easier especially when it humid

Came very scuffed and the buttons didn’t even work; not to mention, the wheels are incredibly difficult to get on and getting them back off wasn’t even an option, (sorry to my local store). As soon as I plugged it in and just blew hot air. Save your money and don’t bother with this dehumidifier!

Cycle time is much longer than my previous dehumidifiers.

Set it and forget it type of a product. Keeps my large basement at 30-40% humidity when the typical humidity without it is about 70%.

Bought in July then the screen started to go out shortly after so I was not able to tell the humidity. Now nothing works. It will not even turn on. Only two months and its done. When it worked, it was great, but the issues cant be ignored. Dont buy it

After two months- it's dead. Upon plugging it in, all of the lights will come on for 1 second, then go dark--as expected. However, the unit will not turn on. I have been through the troubleshooting, but no solutions apply. Next step, I contact GE for a return. To make matters worse, I was never able to get this model to drain continuously. I tried 4 different hose and connection setups, but no matter what, water would end up still draining into the tank, shutting off the machine when it would fill. Baffling. The whole time, this unit was babied--it sat on a counter next to a sink, in the same place.

The dehumidifier Itself works well except that it will fill the bucket once or twice a week even though it’s hooked up to a drain hose.

This dehumidifier worked great until the one-year warranty expired. Then it died. Now it just runs and runs and extracts no water from the air. $200 for one year of operation! Very dissatisfied customer here!
