Owned for just over a month and it has completely broken down. Loud rattling as of the motor is loose, the LED display is showing background backlighting, overheats and fails after only a couple of hours. DO NOT BUY.

It worked well when it worked. After a week or so they bucket full light would stay on even when the bucket was empty therefore it would not work. I had to return it. I'm guessing it was a manufacturer defect.

In "non-stop" mode, this managed to bring the relative humidity in my 170 square foot room from 70% to almost 40% (measured with an Inkbird hygrometer). This is less powerful than the Hisense I tried (which got into the low 30s), but also less noisy, which seems like a fair trade-off. An 8-pint bucket in a 35-pint humidifier means you'll be emptying the bucket several times a day. The bucket is easy to remove and carry, but a bit awkward to pour out unless you've got a big target like a bathtub. The casters are hard to attach, but make it easy to move the unit from one room to another, and it helps that unplugging and re-plugging the unit doesn't affect its settings. Setting a humidity level doesn't work that well for me. The unit seems to try to overachieve: if I set it to 60%, it drives the humidity down below 50%, then turns off until the humidity rises back beyond 60%. Unfortunately, this means that if I set it to 50%, it runs forever, because it can't actually reach its "real" target of 40%. I'm not sure if this is a feature intended to avoid frequent on/off cycles, or if the built-in humidity sensor just doesn't work well while the compressor is running. I wish it were better, but I can live with it as-is.

Worked Well For About 4 Years

This dehumidifier worked well and was decently quiet. I bought the unit in October 2021 and it just recently stopped collecting water. I took the cover off and noticed that the coils seem to be rusted. The compressor is also running very hot and is shutting off automatically. My guess is either that there’s a refrigerant leak or the rust is inhibiting the coils to effectively Condense the moisture from the air and causing the compressor to overheat.

Works well. We run this when we are away for our place near the ocean. There is a hose cconnection so we set it on the counter (it is heavy) and have a hose that drains into the sink.
