    It's a good product, but it has a huge problem, the part where the air comes out throws out a lot of water at the same time.

      We appreciate your purchase and your feedback. We recommend making sure your air conditioner is installed slightly tilted to the outside. Approximately 1/4. Air Conditioners have a slinger ring around the rear fan blade that picks up the water in the base pan and throws it against the condenser coils. This helps improve the efficiency of the appliance and helps remove moisture from the pan. We also recommend making sure your filter is clean. If you continue to have issues, please take advantage of your warranty that is listed on page 17. You can find your manual on Best Buy's site or on our GE Appliances site.     A lot of noise, always freeze and sounds like old car. This AC is no good

We would suggest to help with the freezing, set the mode control to High Fan or High Cool with the temperature setting as high as it can be set.     Don’t waste your money. For some reason I don’t understand they put a tag where the fan is that has you deal with a very unpleasant noise. Made the mistake of not getting the product support. Out $300.

    Bought on 6/16/24. On 7/26/24 the unit started short cycling and won’t stay on longer than a minute or two. Have received no help from GE or Best Buy in rectifying the situation. Would not purchase again.

      An air conditioner may not cool properly due to restricted airflow, incorrect temperature settings, a dirty filter, a hot starting room, cold air escaping, or iced‑up cooling coils.       We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with your air conditioner. If you are using the Eco mode setting, we recommend turning Eco mode off. Turning it off will ensure the fan continues to run even when the compressor cycles off, which in turn keeps the air circulating in the room. The air filter should be cleaned a minimum of once a month. If the unit is not cooling as expected in the evening or overnight, check to see if the coils have frozen. This can happen if you turn the fan speed to a lower setting while keeping the thermostat the same. This may not allow for good air circulation across the coils. If this happens, turn the fan speed up to High. Additional information including the details of the product warranty can be found in the online Owner's Manual. Click on the Features tab and scroll to the bottom of the Features list to find the link to the manual. -Vikki@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

    Used for only a few months before it started flashing 88 and shutting off nonstop. Then you have to wait to get it serviced and set up an appointment to fix it while it’s 100 degrees out.

    The equipment was broken. We paid for installation and also paid for uninstalled. In addition to the time invested going from/to home-store.

      We understand any issue with your new air conditioner must be concerning, and we want to assist. If the air conditioner isn’t coming on at all, you may want to check the fuse or circuit breaker. You can also try resetting the unit by disconnecting it from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve a temporary issue. Additional troubleshooting details are available on page 13 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you aren’t able to resolve this and think you may need to take advantage of your warranty, information on that is available on page 17 of the manual. -Sarah@GEAppliances GE_Appliances
