Air conditioner was easy to self install and was up and running shortly. The air conditioner cooled the room quickly. I am very pleased with the purchase. I have not set up the wifi or used the app.

Unit works fine. The accordion side panels are cheaply and poorly made. Both sides broke at the slide connecting point. This unit replaces a cheap Vissani unit from Home Depot that lasted only a year before blowing only warm air. The side panels on that unit were high quality. Hope this GE unit lasts more than one year. I did build out side unit pieces - but this in my workshop in my pole building so asthetics are not important. If this was going in a house - I would have returned it.

We replaced an a/c unit that we had for about 15 years. This new unit is extremely quiet and very effecient. It really delivers cold air as needed. Was easy to install in the window.

Decent quality ac for the price compared to a similar unit sold down the street at a hardware store... Also a hundred dollars less! Bought the 2 year extended warranty and still bought it for less than the other store.

It arrived sooner than expected and in good condition. Was easy to install. It works like a charm.

Ive had all 3 of my units develop problems after only 1-2 years, and then become unusable shortly thereafter. If the AC was more durable these would be fine, the smart capabilities work well enough, but the GE app is poorly designed. I would skip this unit in favor of something similiarly priced without smart features, or get a dual inverter that is slightly more expensive but should last way longer.

Best Buy had what I wanted at the price I wanted to pay and they brought it out to my car. Very satisfied.

Do not waste your time purchasing this. It doesn’t last more than two summers and the manufacturers warranty is only for a year. It’s a huge hassle to get a hold of them for them to tell you this. They offer some type of $75 certificate to go towards the purchase of a new one, but like I said is very difficult to get one customer service person to agree to that. It took me five calls and I’m still unsure if they’re going to email the certificate. I paid $300 for this and now I have to come up with another $300 to $400 more.

Worked great the first year. The second year the AC unit barely gets cool. Luckily I got the Best Buy extended warranty so i can get it replace. But this is the last time. The GE 5000 and 6500 BTUs ACs work and last much longer than the GE 8000 AC unit.

This unit does not cool at all. May be defective, or the model may be trash. Either way, I have to sweat until i can return this thing and get one that works. What a pain.

This AC only lasted one summer really cool and working good and the next summer it barely cools the room. It was fairly cool before the warranty expired and after it did it doesn’t cool at all. Just runs. It is sad how cheap and low quality they make these now. They want us to purchase a new one every summer. Please save your money and buy a different brand.
