Overall great buy very easy to install and cooled off area well

Easy to install. Cools rooms off quickly. I can’t figure out the WiFi thing with it, but that’s ok.

Very quiet. Cools down a big room. Thought I needed a bigger one. But this one gets the job done.

This unit runs quietly and pumps out a lot of cool air. Controls are simple and installation was easy using the included pieces and some simple window installation material (foam and tape) available at any big box home improvement store. I am assuming that it uses less electricity than older units based on the information on the yellow and black government efficiency card.

It cooled off our bedroom an upstairs nicely. It was so hot before we bought it and when we used it, omg it was nice.

It runs quietly and works great. It cools three rooms easily.

Works to cool off the room, but being 8000 byus, I really thought it would make the room cold like a meat locker!!! Cools off pretty fast, like the fact that it is WiFi capable, so after adding app I can program to turn on and off remotely, if I forget to set with remote before I leave the house.

Great price, does a great job of cooling our bedroom, the app is convenient as well. However the air conditioner is a little noisy, making crackling sounds quite a bit and I can't get the clean filter light to turn off even after following the instructions.

Excellence, GE! Amazing Powerhouse AC! Super Cold, Built Well, I've had it two months. I had a Panasonic forever, it was awesome, they don't make them anymore. Hopefully, GE fills up the need for reliability, affordability & Excellence! Thank You GE for building Excellence in 2025.

Works great, runs very quietly., adequately cools 3 rooms.

After our Central AC failed we needed to cool our bedroom, first purchased a cheap 5000BTU Midea, then a nicer LG (which on sale was $50 more than this unit), returned both because they both short cycled once the temperature was below 70C inside or 75C outside... Finally got this unit and never looked back, will be going to GE directly in the future because this thing is a tank. It doesn't care what temperature it is inside or outside, it just works. It can put out a massive amount of air, on medium it puts out more air than the other units I had on high, and it gets so cold, you can't stand in front of it. We use a thermostat controlled remote power switch, and this thing is capable keeping the room at 64C all day long. Generally it never runs for more than 5 minutes at a time in our 300sf bedroom at 67C. AWESOME! For the price this is a no brainer, get it, hang, set the temp and forget about it, it will just work!

KEEP THE ROOM NICE AND COLD AND WAS EASY TO INSTALL

I was amazed how small these new 8000 BTU airconditioners have become. My son was able to lift it by himself. And it's got the "smarts" - connects by bluetooth or wifi. My son controls it via his iPhone. And it's perfect for his room. And very easy to install too.
