If the temp is set to 70, it might cool it to about 74. For most of the entire running of the air conditioner, it blows fan temperature air and very little cool air, and has just a minute or so of intermittent cool air. I would not recommend this air conditioner to most people, but to some, it would suffice. I believe they spent most of the effort with the technological side of the air conditioner (i.e. "Smart" technology), and not functionality. If I could, I would probably exchange this AC for a better functional unit.
