    not very happy with this thing. It is not able to keep my room cold. Which is kind of driving me crazy

      Thank you for taking the time to review your air conditioner. We are sorry to hear it is not cooling as it should and would be happy to help. First, make sure there is nothing obstructing the unit such as a curtain or piece of furniture, doors to the room are kept closed, and the unit is properly sized for the area. Whether it is too big or too small, either will negatively affect the performance. Also, make sure the filter is cleaned regularly and the unit is set to Cool.     Frost Issue

    This is my second time purchasing this same ac and I have come across the same problem on both appliances. I owned the first one for almost two years and the second for only five months. They both had a frosting issue. The ac will not cool my room, it actually just makes the room warmer by blowing out warm air. The filter is kept perfectly clean and the issue keeps arising. I love this ac for the Wifi connectivity but will look for other options as this one seems to not work and I just keep having to replace it. I've sent an email to GE but I honestly would not waste my money buying another one.

    Clunky and loud, the electric bill went through the roof. I had to return. Sorry.

    For the price is a good unit. It would be nice if it came with better installation parts.

    I bought two of these and they stopped working in about a year. of course, right after the Manufacturer's Warranty.

    The air conditioner will turn on and off. I used it for almost a year. I'm trying to get GE to honor their 1 year warranty and fix it, but I had an appointment cancelled.

    Leaking water via the vent

    So i had bought this Ac unit on may 14 2022 and not long after it has been leaking water. So we went and tilted it and removed the plug on the bottom left side to drain all of the water out, but to no avail it was still leaking water… lots of water. We tried eveything, tilting it, draining the water, putting a stand on the bottom of the Ac, raising the temperature to 77 and even taking the vent out but nothing helped and it keeps leaking. This Ac unit doesn’t even have 3 months since we bought. This is unacceptable

This model is meant to function at a range of 57 to 62 dBAs. This is at and slightly above the level of moderate rainfall.     If I could rate this lower than 1 star I would. Had for barely over a month and now unit will not turn on. Just has an error code "88". Press power will turn unit on for approximately 3 seconds and then it will shut back off. This is after finding out the unit will spray water back in the house. Yes even if you have the AC unit set angled away to the outside it will still spray water in. Extremely disappointed in this purchase and should have bought another Kenmore instead. Will be going for a warranty replacement or return in the morning.

    This ac is good for any office space. But one downside is the loudness of it. If you work at home and need something for your office space this isnt the product if your headset doesn’t have noise control

    This unit had a problem with the blower/fan mount causing the fan to grind against the housing. Lasted less than a year. Would never buy this model again.

    Just a little over a year & it’s stopped working!! You can faintly see digital lights flashing but it will not come on. Bought it on sale but it should of lasted longer than this. Was great while it worked.

      Hi - Thank you for providing feedback on your GE air conditioner. We are sorry to hear you are not pleased with the performance of the unit. To clarify, when the Eco mode has been selected, the fan should cycle off when the compressor does. That said, it is not unusual for the fan to continue to run
      for a short time or it may pulse intermittently after the compressor cycles off to sample the room air. If your unit is not operating in this manner we would recommend reviewing the warranty information on Page 17 of your Owner's Manual.     JUNK! 1ST 1 DIED IN 5 MONTHS, 2ND DIED IN 3 WEEKS

    THE 6000 BTU GE AC DIED IN ONLY 5 MONTHS, THE REPLACEMENT 8000 BTU GE AC DIED FROM THE SAME PROBLEM IN JUST 3 WEEKS. CIRCUIT BOARD ISSUE. IT WON'T STAY RUNNING AND BEEPS. CONSUMERS ARE WRITING THEIR GOOD REVIEWS SOON AFTER BUYING IT, NOT WAITING A YEAR TO GIVE IT A REALISTIC REVIEW. DON'T BELIEVE THE 4+ STARS. GO WITH A BETTER BRAND. GE APPLIANCES ARE OWNED AND BUILT CHEAPLY BY CHINA. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I LOST A LOT MONEY ON THIS. SHAME ON BEST BUY FOR SELLING GE AC.

    I’ve never seen an AC unit with accordion curtains so small and short. I measured my window before purchase and was under the impression it would fit. This barely reached anything. For the price, and weight of this machine it should have worked for my room. After rereading reviews, a lot of others said it didn’t even go belong 64 degrees. I didn’t even get the chance to plug it in because again the curtains didn’t expand wide enough.

    Purchased the unit, worked great for about 21 days after that the display started blinking 88 and wouldn't stay on. Attempted to return or exchange the item at Best Buy however they refused to help as I didn't pay for their $50.00 annual "membership fee" which would have extended the return period for 30days. I would avoid this unit it has a defect on its controller board and when moisture builds up it shorts and shuts down.

    Shocker, Best Buy screws up again

    I am beyond angry with Best Buy. Not once, but MULTIPLE times, it says that this Air Conditioner is supported with Apple HomeKit. I went to check the manual before purchasing, but Best Buy doesn’t include it in the specs, so I just assumed that BestBuy would be correct about that. Well! I was wrong. After setting up the ENTIRE air conditioner (not to mention bringing it up 3 flights of stairs), I went to add it to my Apple Home, and guess what, it is not supported. That was my reasoning for paying a ridiculous price for an air conditioner… So I could expand my smart home. I have no time to uninstall it or bring it back, so I just hope that this will save others a lot of money in my situation.
