Poor quality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used it for one season (2020). Worked great. Put it in a climate controlled storage unit during the off season. Installed it this year, and the fan is making a high pitched screeching noise. The good will certificate process with G.E. takes 7-10 business days for it to come in. At which point you purchase a new one with your own money, send in the new receipt, and it takes up to another 8wks to get a check in the mail to reimburse you.

Better Options Out There
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit worked great for the first few weeks however on week 3 the units filter light was on and the unit was leaking a lot or water.

Posted .Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. We are very sorry to hear about your concerns regarding your new GE air conditioner. Your model offers a Filter reminder light which will come on automatically after approximately 250 run hours. This is intended to be a reminder of the need to clean the filter. Please try cleaning the filter as described on Page 7 of your Owner's Manual. Once the filter has been reinstalled, press the Filter pad on the control panel to reset the light. As part of the normal air conditioning process, the unit will remove the humidity from the room. In situations where you have extremely high humidity for a period of time, it is possible to see moisture dripping from the back of the outer case. This is completely normal. When installing the unit, we recommend the air conditioner be installed with an approximate 1/4" tilt to the outside. This helps ensure any moisture that does collect in the base pan will drip out of the rear portion of the case. If the information we've shared today does not address what you are experiencing, we would recommend you review Page 17 of the Owner's Manual for information regarding the warranty on your unit. We do hope you find this helpful. All our best! Vikki@GEA

Waving the fridge door is more effective
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BEWARE - this thing lasted until a few days past return date, didn't even last 2 months. It now produces the equivalent cool air of blowing a fan near an open refrigerator. Just came home one night and this thing is SUPER HOBBLED. Have been able to jump start it ONEC in a while buy unplugging it but its only been used for 85 degree heat. Summer this thing will be WORTHLESS.

Won't last long
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This worked for almost two months. The fan has died and all troubleshooting isn't working. It isn't frozen. It stopped and won't reset. It worked great for two months, then died when we got our first hot weather.

DO NOT BUY
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It lasted two cycles. We live in Vermont and only use it July-September. After two years, it stopped cooling the air, only blowing. We clean it regularly. Why can't I give zero stars?

Solid Winner for a window unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review will throw you off a tad but I am using this AC window unit for a meat cellar. I was formerly using a portable unit and would get heat from the hose. This window unit is great and fit perfect in my basement window for my cellar. It is keeping my drying room at a cool 55 degrees consistently and is not running all day like the portable unit was. I also love the mobile app feature to watch the temperature along with my dehumidifier and humidifier and can adjust all accordingly for perfect dried meats every time. The unit is quiet and compact and I do not know how my power bill will be affected, but just knowing it is running about 30% less makes me feel like I will see a reduction. I am most likely going to buy another for my bedroom once the weather starts to get too hot.

Great window AC unit
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted an AC unit I could add during Hurricane season that would allow us to live in a room with AC which would run on a generator. This certainly has fit that bill. I unboxed it and it fit in my window with ease. It seemed to get to my desired temp in about 1 hour. It was only cooling 8*. I like the remote that came with it so I can control it from accross the room. I have not tried the app as I would assume during a storm the app would not serve me. I cooled my master bedroom/bath with this unit. I feel it could have cooled more but that is where I would sleep so installed there. I just pulled it out for when the storms come. The installation and removal is really simple. I found it to be pretty quiet for the money. I am sure there are quieter units but they would cost more as well.
