Do NOT BUY. THIS WASHER IS AWFUL

Regardless of how you load this washer, it will go off balance during the spin cycle then proceed to refill the basin with water, but it never fully balances and instead eventually just shuts off. You will spend hours removing clothes (even for small loads) to get this thing to balance while re-running spin cycle. And dont even think about trying to dry the clothes after the cycle fails, as they will be so loaded with water, it will break your dryer. Worst washer ever. DO NOT BUY
