I tried the LG upright with no agitator and no controls for water level. I chose this one because it had water control levels and the agitator AND my clothes come out much better!!! The only issue I have is when putting the Clorox it does not dilute it before mixing it into the water, but I believe this is of all new machines no matter which one you choose

Good washer. Features are functional. Glass lid is nice. It is quiet than my old washer. Water level control makes you save water. Washing clothes is a breeze.

My wife and I are enjoying our new GE - 4.5 cu ft Top Load Washer with Water Level Control, etc. The wash options are very good, the machine is quiet, and a glass lid works well. It's so nice to have a short wash option. The machine is agitator free, which is great!

It makes more noises than my last washer, and it is louder, but it seems to clean better, slightly concerned about delicates. But there is an option not to spin out that I have not used yet. After it washes, water drops are still all over the inside, so I need to leave the lid open for it to dry out because I am fearful of mold or musty smell. It dries out within an hour after the wash.

It's very spacious, quiet, convenient. Alerts you when the load is almost complete. Gives you options to add during the wash and tells you how many minutes the wash will take. Overall great washing machine and great price. Would definitely recommend.

I wanted a top load washer with an agitator, like my old one, and this GE washer fits that description. But I've had trouble adjusting to my new washer. The automatic water level control setting never seems to use an adequate amount of water, in my opinion, so I'm always adding a bit more. It does a great job of washing, with various settings for different fabrics and load types. But compared to my old machine, this one is very LOUD. The agitator noise is so loud that I must do any wash loads when no one else is in the house. If only my washer could be located in a more remote spot, but that is not possible. Wish I had known beforehand...

Purchased ge washer to match previously purchased dryer. Both compliment each other. Appliances look good and work good

My old washer "died." Fortunately, Best Buy was having a deep discount sale and I was able to find a matched washer-dryer set that fits into my narrow-access interior laundry room. The washer has a generously sized stainless steel tub and multiple wash cycle and temperature options. It has far more features than I expected for the price!

Love this new washer. I was a little apprehensive about buying a new washer because I wanted to be in control of the water levels. But this washer is great. IT’s everything I wanted and more. I would totally recommend this washer! GE did great!

This clothes washer cleans well. The center agitator and variable water control are a big improvement from the previous washer. It is very quiet. I don't know why some reviews say it is noisy. I have had it about a month and have used it about 12 times. I purchased the extended warranty.

So far this has handled everything we’ve put in it. I like that the lid opens during wash but locks during spin. Water level is also nice since auto sense uses barely enough. Overall I’m very satisfied.

We needed a washer as soon as possible since ours just broke down. We did have a Samsung top load and it did last nine years which I think is pretty good. The one that I wanted wasn’t available until months later so we came across an open box which was this one? It worked completely fine. It was heavy duty. I love that. I had a timer countdown the only thing That I didn’t like about this particular one was it was cosmetically damaged that’s why it was open box unfortunately we did return it because of that and it was only like $50 off regular price so they should’ve took off a lot more since it had huge dents and cracks in it But as far as it working it was awesome

This washer works excellently! It is nice and quiet, and cleans really well. Nice to have a dedicated softener reservoir in a top-load washer. Senses clothes level and fills appropriately. Very happy!

I used to work for GE. It pains me to say that over the last couple decades, GE Appliances lost their way. But, if this washer is any indication, they've found it again. It is feature-rich, logical, fairly priced, and does a great job. This may well be the best washer I've ever owned.

I like top loaders for ease of use, you can add clothes, get a deep fill, don’t have mold or moisture problems and don’t break as often as front loaders. I replaced an old Admiral washer and absolutely love this replacement! I can choose high water levels if I wish and the lid only locks when it spins so it is easy to add clothes or additives. I add vinegar in the rinse cycle to help clear soap residue from the wash cycle and this machine lets you add easily without the lid being locked. My clothes seem cleaner than my old machine and it isn’t noisy like my old machine. I highly recommend it as did my Best Buy installer who said this machine is very popular and rarely returned in his experience unlike the highly touted LG that Consumer Reports lists as top performers. (Leaks from reviewers which I wanted to avoid).

Love my new GE washer. It had been a while 19 years since I last purchased one. Love the large basket that accommodates a queen comforter, and also still has an agitator. There are plenty of options for type of fabric temperature, soil, and spin. The spin options are so good that it now takes less time for my clothes to dry. I am very pleased with my purchase.
