Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the large capacity, cleaning ability, and ease of use of the 4.6 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer. Many appreciate its strong washing performance and find it a good value for the price. However, some customers note that the washer can be noisy and that the spin cycle may present challenges if the load is unbalanced. The machine's tendency to become unbalanced is also a recurring concern.

It cleans amazing. So much better than our previous brand. It is a bit louder than previous, but the powerful clean and wash makes up for that. I would most definitely choose this again.

I love everything about this washing machine, except it’s a bit too loud on certain cycles, otherwise I would of give 5. Now that I’ve had it a couple months, I can say I think I tune out the noise - for the price I’m not complying! Laundry comes out clean and the Speed Wash is amazing!

Pretty straightforward to use. Love that there isn’t A ton of technology to figure out, plus the large capacity is nice. I was worried that my clothes wouldn’t get as clean without having a center agitation but they do! Plus it’s so much easier with bulky items.

I like the simplicity of this machine and that I can actually put a lot of clothes in at one time. Lots of room for quilts. It doesn’t have an agitator which is what I wanted. What I didn’t expect was the churning noise it makes when it’s washing. We have to shut the laundry room door now which on hot days is the room we get airflow thru our house. Oh well the price was good for a new washer.

Other than being a little noisier than I am used to, it works quite well. Clothes are very clean and the machine is easy to use. The auto water level is great and if you want a higher level just hit a button. Can wash very large loads.

Features/Functions Love not having an agitator - no more unwinding clothes from that center pole. Love being able to add more water. High efficiency washers sometimes leave items not even that wet. This is a great option to override the default mode if a particular load needs it. Not very intuitive getting the "Deep Fill" to work - have been reading the manual and experimenting a bit to consistently get this to work for me. Could well be "operator error" but I feel like it should not be this difficult to figure out. Huge capacity: for the first time ever, I've been able to easily wash queen-size mattress pad along with other items with room to spare. Really, it's cavernous. Cycle choices are good. It is very quiet; hard to tell it is on except when hearing the sounds of water filling the tub. No shaking/rattling. This washer is way more efficient than any other washer I've used; loads are finishing a lot more quickly than I'm used to, which is terrific. Clothes come out clean so it's not skimping on actually cleaning them. Summary: Washer has more than lived up to my expectations. Excellent capacity, features, functions, and performance.

It's definitely on the louder side, but still washes clothes decently. There's a couple of neat features to use. It may deceive you a bit also because depending on the setting it may at first wash with very little water but at some point it does fill up with enough water to clean the clothes.

Maytag WAS our sirt goal *to match existing dryer.. despite being less than 3 years old iit needed repairs of $799 plus so ourt first purchase was another Maytag . Wrong approach! New machine did not look at all like the dryer, it was EXTREMLY noisy and did not get the clothes very clean. so we settle d on a low end GE turns out we pay less, get clean clothes with less noise. A win0win for us But it points out to me that Maytag is living on their reputation not repeat NOT their product.

    Good impeller washer

I'm still getting used to this washer, but I like it so far. In time, I think my 4-star review will change to 5 stars. Here's why: This type of washer takes some getting used to. My previous washer was a front-loader, and prior to that, I had always had a top-loader with agitator. Mistakes I've made, even though I read the reviews and discussions about water level, was to expect the washer to fill up with water. Also, it's important to put detergent in first, as I discovered the hard way, when my dark pants had detergent residue on them. Wondering how this washer could possibly clean textiles, I peeked while washing a load of sheets. At first, here was a portion of one sheet that was not wet. When I looked again, everything was wet, and I could tell that the sheets were actually being agitated by the impeller. The lack of an agitator makes it easy to wash bulky items like blankets or quilts; however, I did have to run one quilt through an extra drain and spin cycle (I did not put the item in the washer, so I'm not sure what setting was used or how it was placed). On a side note, I did not have the option of drain and spin, without a rinse, on my old front-loader. I have not washed anything yet that's heavily stained, but I have confidence that the impeller will clean just as well as my front-loader did; and I no longer worry about the water level. I know this washer is effectively cleaning my clothes and other textiles. To summarize, there are many functions on this washer, it cleans well (don't forget, detergent first!), and it's easy to fit bulky items. I recommend it!

I love how easy it is for my teens to use. It has settings for jeans, coloreds, whites, sheets, towels, and active wear. So they know where to set the dial each time. It aldo great having a big enough washer that i can wash my king size comforter in it. No more dry cleaning or laundry mat trips. Its great. The extra spin clycle option is great also. It has helped my light bill go down some because the dryer doesn't have to run as long. All in all its a great match for this family.

Having had a washer with an agitator for years, this machine takes a bit of getting used to. It apparently decides water level on its own, and without an agitator makes different sounds from my old one, but seems very efficient and cleans well. Lots of choices of water temperature and types of loads, with many little extras.

The washer works great. Cleans faster and better than a previous HE machine I had. Quiet, easy operation. It spins FAST and gets a huge amount of moisture out of the clothes, dramatically reducing dry time. However, my experience with BestBuy scheduling, delivery and installation has been a nightmare. After several weeks of scheduling, cancelled appointments and rescheduling, the washer finally arrived but the crew brought the wrong equipment so they couldn't install it. Their advice to me was to purchase the equipment at a big box store and hire a private contractor to install it for me. In my view this is unacceptable. I was able to install it myself but many customers might not be willing or able to move the washer on their own, purchase the part, hook it up, etc. Be forewarned.
