After spending 3+ months trying to get my 3 year old Samsung front load washer repaired without success, the extended warranty insurance coverage finally allowed me to order a new washer. I chose another very highly rated Samsung front load washer. But, weird... even though it was installed correctly, on a cold/cold setting it was pumping in boiling hot water. Never gave warm, never gave cold. Only hottest of HOT. On top of that, within 4 days of receipt of this brand spanking new Samsung, it COMPLETELY broke down- I am NOT making this up, NOT kidding... it lasted precisely FOUR FREAKING DAYS before whatever suspends the tub "let go" so that while it was in its spin cycle it just started free slamming around inside the washer box... and it never shut itself off, either... I had to yank the plug out to stop it! It was at that moment I determined that Samsung makes JUNK appliances and decided to order a different brand. Shish, slow learner, here. ;oP Anyway, I had had really good luck with two Whirlpool dishwashers- one in my rental and one in my own residence, so I thought I would try a Whirlpool clothes washer... that is until I found out that in order to clean out the lint filter (something you definitely want to do with a front load washer) I would have to completely remove the front panel of the washer to access the clean out. SERIOUSLY Whirlpool??? That's NUTS. THEN I decided to try this GE model. I was literally suffering from a hard core case of "crappy appliance PTSD" by then, so I was not particularly optimistic that the GE would perform any better. But, I was running out of ideas and choices, so, I read through what was available in the GE line, and decided on this model and crossed my fingers. It arrived. The Best Buy installers were sweethearts and got it all hooked up nice and quick and got the hunk of junk Samsung OUT of my house. We did a test run and by golly, the cold wash was actually cold, the warm was warm, and the hot was hot. RADICAL, man! A washer that actually does what it's supposed to do!!! Get right out of town! I started to have hope! It's been five months now, and I have been using this machine hard. My tenants use the machine for their laundry, I use it for my personal laundry, and I used it for my business laundry- I have a house cleaning service and I use it to wash my giant loads of cleaning towels. I run a load at least once a day, usually more than once, and I am so very, VERY happy to report that it has not missed a beat! It handles large heavy loads like a breeze. It gets everything super clean. It's UltraFresh Vent system is kind of cool... it'll just go into that mode on its own after a load and dry itself out. Usually I just leave the door open to let it dry out, but when I forget to do that, it dries itself out. Took some getting used to because I didn't realize what the sound was going off in my laundry room... just a soft whirring sound. The first time I noticed it, I'd forgotten that it had this feature. I heard this strange sound and went to investigate and went, "Oh, yeah. Huh." And it does get it dry, by gum. It has a SMART feature, but I haven't used that. Don't really need it, but some may find it cool. Oh, and the door hinge can be set up to open from the left or right, you just have to specify what you want when it's installed. The controls are super easy to understand, and the cycles aren't insanely long. Years ago, I had a BOSH front loader that took THREE FREAKING HOURS to do a regular load! So inefficient. What I like best about this model is this: IT WORKS. I turn it on. It plays a happy little jingle for me. I pick out my settings, I add my detergent and other additives, I put my dirty laundry in, close the door and press "go". The correct temperature water fills the tub. It gets its assigned load done in the promised amount of time. The clothes get nice and clean but not beat up. What more can I hope for? Well, that it keeps ON working this well, and hoping that it lasts at least 10 years like it SHOULD. So far, I am really, REALLY happy, GE. Keep up the good work. Don't compromise, don't sink to making cheap JUNK. I'll pay more for stuff that works right and has a good long lifespan.

This was a salesperson recommendation and I'm glad we decided to try it. We had good experience with G.E. kitchen appliances in the past. The washer has good cycle choices we like including all types of fabric, you can also choose your water temperature as well as the cycle spin speed. And it has an extra rinse cycle! It has cleaned everything quite well- no need to launder a second time. On capacity: I prefer to do small to medium loads but when we did need a heavier load, it did great. It is rather noisy. We liked to do a load at night but the laundry room is too close to the bedroom. It is fine during the day. Plus, it really has a good look! Yes, I recommend this product.

I needed a stackable washer/dryer that fit in a laundry closet of a newly built townhome - the spaces are so narrow nowadays!! I didn't need dozens and dozens of fancy options, and this model, though modern, kept the options to a minimum (though there are still too many that I will never use!) The delivery team did an excellent job installing on the 3rd floor with just a few wall dings that were easy to paint over...did I say how narrow these new homes are nowadays!! The washer and dryer have a pleasantly large interior capacity, and the washer really dries out the items with it's spinning cycle - almost like I could just hang dry most of the items for the day and skip the dryer completely. When stacked, the dryer console is rather high so you may need a stool to reach the dryer buttons at the top once stacked, or just have great overhead reach! I've had these for one month now and am pleased.

I don't have anything bad to say about this washer in how it functions. The app that reminds you to get your clothes out of the wash is amazing. The knob functions/wash cycles are really easy to use. It's relatively quiet. It seems like they put a lot of thought into the seal and vent system. It fits a comforter & a couple of small clothes in one cycle. I haven't had any trouble fitting loads into it and everything comes out clean. (We've had this washer for about a month now)

I bought this washer for a couple of reasons. First, because of the Microban material used in several areas of the washer. After a several years of use on my previous washer, I noticed mold or mildew forming on the gasket and possibly in other non visible areas of the washer. Microban is supposed to eliminate the mold/mildew formation. Second, it's made in the USA. By no means it's a second grade washer. My spouse said it's quieter than our previous washer that we had for nearly 14 years. Now here's the bad think. I bought this from Best Buy because I want delivery and install. This washer is heavy and I don't see myself doing everything from hauling away the old washer and installing the new one. I used Best Buy to install large TVs in my company offices throughout the country and they've always done a very good job. On delivery day, two young gentlemen showed up early morning, removed the old washer, installed the new washer and hooked up water and drain hoses. I trusted them as I believe they installed hundreds of washers and dryers. A couple of days later, I found the washer moving a few inches away from its supposed location in the garage. After inspection, I found that the leveling feet are missing. The washer is shaking a lot during rinsing and that's the reason why it moved. I watched the youtube video and sure enough the leveling feet are missing. I contacted GE and provided the model and serial number to get replacement leveling feet but no response from GE. Best Buy said they used a third party for delivery/install and I didn't get the names of the two guys who did the job. To sum up, I like the washer but not very happy with the installers.

How much can I tell you I love this washer? The vent keeps all mold from growing, the drain is easiest ever to clean out, the soap drawer slides so easy to take out and clean. I love this washer! Large capacity for my huge California King comforter.

I never write reviews but for this GE washer and it’s dryer I just had too. These machines are excellent in almost every way. They wash superbly, have excellent cycle choices, use Plenty of water unlike so many high efficiency units today and Even have a “more water” button for more. The dryer is infinitely adjustable but most importantly it just works..it drys completely every time. Controls are easy to use and you don’t need to hold the start button for 3 full seconds like on the Maytag which drove Us insane.... and the venting system In the washer solves the issue of moisture and mold associated with front load machines.... after we finish our weekend washes we set the venting system to run and in about 2 hours the entire interior including the pump, drum and dispenser...everything is dry... I let it open for a little bit to be sure then it’s closed all week and no moisture.....these just work like they should... and you can buy with confidence at Best Buy as they exchanged the Maytag's which we had bought first and just didn’t work.... not enough water, lousy controls and couldn’t dry any load the first time... how does it save energy to have run every load twice? Buy these GE units you won’t be sorry

Very spacious and it doesn't make noise during the spin cycle nor does it wobble. Clothes come out pretty dry because the spin cycle does a very good job. The vent feature works well. I previously owned a Samsung. This machine does a much better job.

Our laundry room is somewhat compact so having to have the door propped open is less than ideal. The ultrafresh vent feature is really nice and when it's complete it does have a dry interior. That said, it is still probably best practice to leave the door propped open in some form to allow for airflow. After having the unit for ~3 months we noticed a slight mildew scent and ran a bleach cycle which cleaned it all out, so always stay on top of the cleaning cycles. The detergent tray does trap a LOT of water and you will need to remove and dump after use so that it doesn't get gross. Otherwise the unit is extremely quiet. We obsessed over balancing it, which was no small feat.

This front-load washer is excellent. It's not the largest washer you can get, but that's a good thing. It operates well, quietly, and efficiently. The clothes come out clean and spun to the specified amount. Best of all, the internal cleaning system controls odors extremely well.

Have had the washer for a month so far and absolutely noting bad to say about it. Like the various settings and how you can customize them to your tastes. Its big, washing comforters (so much bigger than the one it replaced) with no problem, this also reduces the total number of loads on washday. We had our old Bosch for 17 years, it was a good one and I was looking for another, but they don't really sell larger capacity ones in the states any longer...so, after much research we got the GE. One thing the Bosch was great at was getting the clothes really dry in the spin. My mothers upright seems to struggle with that even on the highest spin setting. No problems here, the GE is just as good as the Bosh...if not better (maybe a bit noiser)...saving time in the dryer. The other thing I like better on the GE....the detergent drawer...well laid out and pulling it out from the machine means your not occasionally getting errant detergent on top of the washer...mixed with water that stuffs corrosive....an issue with the Bosch. Overall, really please with the purchase, seems to be of good quality...I hope it lasts as long as my last one...time will tell. Also, no issues with Best Buy on the purchase, delivered exactly when they said it would be and no damage at all, can't comment on any install as I did that part myself.

I love my GE Front Load washer. I practically operates itself. Once you make the selection, it will determine the water level, temperature and time. Clothes come out perfectly. The Ultra Fresh Vent System and Microban is a plus, plus. Wi Fi is great, especially if your laundry room is a distance. There are NO Buzzers.
