We love the washer. I can barely hear the washer when in use and it gets the clothes very dry in the spin cycle that the clothes dry very quickly in the dryer. Also, the capacity of the washer can hold lots more clothes than several other washer I’ve used. We are very pleased. Good buy, good washer

This machine went in my Beach house on the second floor laundry room. The noise/vibration is minimum. I appreciate the UltraFresh Vent System for keeping the unit from developing smells or mold. This is a real issue in the coastal humidity zone.
We’ve had this machine for about 4 months now and have really put it through it’s paces. The washer does a great job on whites. It’s quiet and fast.

We were hesitant to get a front loading set but we love these! Haven’t had any issues so far with function or odor. Once a month I run washing machine cleaning powder through it and clean the drain out.
The one negative we’ve had, if you call it that, is that the washer struggles to balance while spinning if you try to wash a single item that holds water (like a sweater or small blanket). The solution I found was to do a spin only cycle and wring out the item as much as possible. This has only happened twice but I can understand how it can struggle to balance with one heavier clothing item.

Works great as expected. No problems with smells after a year. Strange to get used to a locking door (first front loader for me). WiFi connection seemed like a gimmick at best. However, it actually has been nice getting alerts that it is done.

I purchased the GE 4.8 CuFt High-Efficiency Stackable Smart Front Load Washer w/UltraFresh Vent System & Microban Antimicrobial Technology about three years ago, and it worked fine during that time. However, after leaving it unused for two months while on vacation, the unit stopped working entirely.
Now, it makes a relay clicking noise every few minutes. After selecting a wash mode, it won’t start, and the unit shuts off within seconds with the same relay clicking sound.
I called Geek Squad for a diagnosis, which cost $125. Unfortunately, the technician didn’t even open the washer to investigate further. He simply checked the error codes and speculated that the issue could be with the inverter board, the motherboard, or the door lock. His estimate for repairs, including labor, was almost equivalent to purchasing a new washer. To make matters worse, he mentioned that parts would need to be ordered from GE, meaning repairs would take at least a week.
This experience left me questioning whether it’s worth repairing an appliance at such a high cost, especially when the replacement parts only come with a 30-day warranty. At this point, it seems more reasonable to replace the washer entirely and invest in a new unit with a longer insurance plan (5-10 years).
While the washer was great when it worked, this situation makes me hesitant to recommend it, especially given the repair costs and inconvenience.

Such a nice washer. Works great and love the different settings. Very quite even on the highest spin cycle. Can't wait for my old dryer to break so I can get the matching dryer to go with the washer. I had always been a Whirlpool owner but this was recommended by an appliance repair person and I am so happy with it.

We've only had this washer for a little less than a month, but are pleased with the results. Clothes are fresh and clean. The spin cycle is amazing at getting the excess water out. Compared to the LG we had prior, it is a little bit louder--but the washing results more than make up for it. Great capacity.

I’ve had it for a week and it’s amazing.
I never thought at 29 I’d be excited for a washer.
GE fixed the biggest issue with front load washers! No more propping the drawer forcing the washer to drain.
After the loads done now all I have to do it shut the door and hit the vent fresh button it takes care of the rest.
We have 2 dogs so mud gets everywhere. We’ve had towels to clean them off that haven’t looked clean in a year. One cycle later they almost look brand new!!
Cannot recommend this unit enough. Plus it connects to the smart HQ app and will alert you win your close are done or allow you to set up a delayed start load!

Purchased this unit to replace a GE front load washer that was 14 years old and still working. Wanted a new washer to go with our new GE dryer that replaced a GE dryer that was over 20 years old. Our initial experience is very positive with ease of use and quality. Unit is very heavy and feels quality. Like the new dry feature that should extend the life of the unit. Very happy with this purchase.

I have had this unit for 2.5 years now. So far zero issues.
Great washer, no issues with electronics or function so far. The ultra fresh vent is a super handy feature that allows the machine to dry itself with the door closed, so you don’t have the leave the door open.
If there is any negative, it is that this machine is heavy! My wife and I have our washer/dryer on a pedestal and it was very hard to get this machine up to it. Be ready with where you want to put this machine as it is not easy to move.
Hopefully this unit lasts us at least 15 years, which so far seems to be very doable. Very happy with the purchase.

Purchased this to replace a 14 year old Bosch that was starting to give up. This is larger than my old machine and we purchased this one after comparing features and reviews. The old machine would get musty smelling, as front loader machines tend to do, but GE has the Ultra Fresh vent system to help this, which was a big factor in our decision to get this machine. Like the variety of wash cycles, just haven’t figured out if it’s possible to rinse with cold water rather than warm. The WiFi connectivity is a handy feature to let you know when the machine is done.
I gave this a 4 star not for the machine really, but for the delivery service from Best Buy. We had numerous issues with this and I will likely not get large items from BB again for delivery.

This was a 2023 Black Friday Purchase for our new house. Could not install it until floors were done in April. They delivered the wrong one, and we waited longer for correct one. From day one it smelled TOXIC…like burning plastic/tar with noxious fumes that would fill the laundry room and make my family and I feel sick when smelling that. It became even worse when using hot water…to the point of having to open the laundry room window and let it vent for 5 minutes before anyone could go in there. I tried to get a refund but the customer representatives at Best Buy said I was past my 60 day warranty period. They insisted it only lasted 60 days after purchase, but it is actually 60 days after install. They would not listen to me, and so I was forced to keep the washer. For 2 years I had to keep having them come out and try to “FIX” the washer, but the smell does not go away. Some washes are less smelly than others, but it never goes away. Added to this is that the washer tears, rips, puts holes in cloths. It also rips off drawstrings and buttons off jeans. It has DESTROYED 1/3 of my family’s cloths. I have some things that are over 30+ years old and never had any problems with washing them until putting them through this washer where they were destroyed. I have had several washers in my lifetime, including the next model up from this one, and this is the first washer I’ve seen to be an absolute NIGHTMARE. At this point I hate this washer with a passion and cannot wait to get rid of it. I’m also upset with Best Buy for gaslighting me through most of this experience. It wasnt until recently that they finally sent a geek squad person over who actually listened to, and tried to fix, the problems with this machine. Still, he has replaced lots of things on it several times, but has not figured out how to fix the problem. I DO NOT recommend this washer to anyone, and I do not recommend purchasing any major appliance from Best Buy either. Other big box stores will treat you a lot better and offer much better warranties than Best Buy. I only purchased from them to begin with because they had a better price on a washer and dryer set that I wanted for my new house. If only I had stayed with the other big box nationwise store I usually purchased appliances from, then I probably would not have gone through all this trouble. I speak from years of experience…been purchasing items from Best Buy since 1996. But, they have changed a lot over the last few years, and not for the better so far. I would rather purchase from the manufacturer instead of Best Buy. It’s been over 2 years since purchase, and now they say I can probably have a replacement or credit for the washer. In my opinion that is the least they can do, because it does not make up for gaslighting me, destroying my families cloths (which cost a lot of money), and exposing us all to noxious fumes that made us feel sick. It’s astonishing what they get away with. Don’t let it happen to you. Purchase your major appliances somewhere else.

This machine works amazingly well and it's definitely quieter than my last machine. The ultrafresh vent system is so nice and really helps keeps the machine fresh. It has a big capacity so when I wash my quilts I can still ad more towels etc to the load. I couldn't get the WIFI on this machine to work, but otherwise easy to setup and use.
