THE LOUDEST AIR CONDITIONER EVER

Good luck using this thing in a bedroom because it sounds like a LAWNMOWER is running in your room when it comes on. It's not like "oh I'll get used to it either" it's just way way way too loud and unfortunately I think I'll have to lug this thing back to the store. Otherwise the features are nice and it cools well, looks sharp....but do not buy this unit if you are planning on using it on the same floor as a bedroom!!

Did just what I needed.

The only thing I dont like is the display is hard to see in bright light. I have not used the wifi connectivity, so I can't speak to its usefullness. Also its pretty humid where I am so the condensation was really pooling up in the unit. But it kept the space cool that I needed. I installed a 5000 btu unit first and it did nothing. This 10000 btu unit did the trick.

Just look for a YouTube video bc the instructions are not clear in regards to what the weather seal is and the extra foams. We installed two units and the second install was the correct way. Now to remove and redo the first one.

The app works better then expected-the programs come in handy. The air conditioner is quiet and cools well. The display is a bit hard to read which is offset by the user friendly app or fire stick

Decent Unit, but a Bit Underpowered

I've had very good luck with a smaller, slightly older GE window unit in another bedroom (which is extremely quiet and efficient). For the same BTUs as the Frigidaire I replaced, this new model is just as loud and not as effective. It doesn't cool the same size space as well. If you're considering buying one of these GEs to replace another brand's 10,000 BTU unit, I recommend you upsize to a 12,000 BTU model, if it's available. Otherwise, I think you're going to be disappointed. I can't speak to the longevity of this unit, but the other GE I've had for several years is still going strong.
