[Check online; it's a common problem that seems to relate to a control panel defect] I called and they determined the AC was broken and scheduled an appointment the next day; an hour later (after going to my office) they called to cancel and required my serial number to process a refund/goodwill certification (which I didn't have on me after leaving home assuming). When I called back, I had left the city and they could not process any refund (or reimburse me) until I remove the sticker from the AC (I couldn't even purchase a new AC for them to reimburse alter on); the customer service [Tiara] was rude. Their reimbursement process requires mailing receipt and is from the 1960s. I will never purchase a GE appliance again: things break, but this experience was painful and left me without an AC for multiple weeks in the summer. Moreover, I had spent a good bit of money to install and insulate the AC, which is likely not to be reimbursed.
