Literally Awful

I purchased this AC for a tiny bedroom and it barely managed to cool the area directly in front of the unit. Tried it for a few days but was sick of sweating through the night. So I returned the original unit for another one which did the exact same thing. Maybe I got a bad batch but these things are literally useless, they blow warm air 99% of the time. Pros: App is decent, unit is pretty easy to set up, Best Buy returns were smooth even without the box the first time. Wound up returning the second one and just gave up, I bought a different make entirely and could not be happier!

Disposable air conditioner

Used for one summer, then got a blinking error something wrong with a sensor, looked it up online apparently it's a common problem I called GE and they want nothing to do with it ....$350 in the toilet

THIS WON'T LAST A YEAR

The lights go on and off and beeps at the same time. I called GE and apparently it's non-repairable and I'm on hold with another line in hopes of getting help of possible returning to vendor. DO NOT BUY THIS A/C.

Lacking power

After less than a week, I put the Frigidaire back in the window and took this back. My old unit can be set to 60 and had been running about 63. This GE can only be set to 64 (and it felt like a warm 64). Since it didn’t cool any better than the old unit, it wasn’t worth the price. Yes it cools. It doesn’t cool as well as I hoped a newer, more powerful unit would for $350

Not worth it!

The unit is plastic with styrofoam inside, it doesn’t appear to be well made or quality. I’ve had the unit for about a month and this week has been in the 90s, it’s not cooling my apt. The coolest temp the unit will go is 64 degrees, it will cool my apt to 74 degrees max. When it’s 90 degrees outside. Not worth the $400 I paid.

Posted .Hi there, we're very sorry to hear your air conditioner hasn't been cooling as it should. With the rising temperatures, we can only imagine how disappointing this is. For the best help, we recommend the following tips: 1) Make sure the air conditioner is properly sized for the room. 2) Check to make sure nothing is blocking the front of the air conditioner. When the unit is blocked by curtains, blinds, or furniture, the air flow is restricted and cooling performance will be affected. 3) Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. 4) Check the thermostat setting. The highest setting will provide maximum cooling. Do not buy!

The power flickered on and off at our house and fried the logic board, GE scheduled a repair for two weeks later, a day before the repair was supposed to happen, got a call saying they don’t make replacement parts for this and it would be replaced. That I had to go buy a new one of equal or lesser value, send them a receipt and then they would send me a check for the amount of the new one. This model wasn’t available, and I could only find a smaller one. So I paid the price of this model, but only have the cooling capability of a smaller model. I also have a dead air conditioner that needs to be disposed of responsibly.
