    It’s works great for only one year or less after that this AC stops working the red light turns on asking to clean the filter which is as already clean. The AC doesn’t work anymore this happen twice. This AC is only good for one year or less

    Bought this only to have it stop cooling after a couple weeks. Only days after the return policy ended. Now I have to talk to GE to get a replacement, which may break in the future. Try something else

    I am very disappointed with this air conditioner. I bought one in the summer of 2021 which broke before the year was up. I had to jump through hoops for it to be replaced. I got the second one in July of 2022 and it broke within 2 years. I absolutely do not recommend GE products.

    I hired someone to pick up and install this unit for me. This unit worked great for two days then began freezing up while only on low cool The ice melted soaking the sill and carpet. When turned back on it would cool for only a few minutes then only blow warm air. It was 97 outside I had to again hire someone to remove it to return it to the store. I was afraid to risk exchanging it for another identical unit For me it was a costly poor choice i didn’t want to repeat. Best Buy accepted the return with no problem and refunded the cost of the unit and warranty.

    We had ours for 29 days and it started with the blinking beeping on off scenario that I am reading about. Best Buy directed us to GE. GE directed us to BB. After four long hours on the phone and no where to take my product for service or refund….I drove to BB. Trent, the manager, agreed to take the product back. Thank goodness as I had no where to turn too. Frustrating and shame on GE putting us in these predicaments with failed products! The compressor works great but not when the brain of the unit fails.

    This thing is terrible. It does great at first, but lasts one summer and then dies over and over and over. I've exchanged it using the Best Buy protection plan twice now and it just consistently stops blowing cold air. So why do I keep getting the same one? Because all the others of similar size are out of stock every time I go to exchange it, and I want that sweet sweet protection plan.

    Got it by the very end of 2020 summer, first the wifi connection is a horrible experience I gave up. I will try again this coming summer if I’m able to get connected to the wifi. Second the top of the AC that goes to the outside started to rust within a week ,I couldn’t believe it .I have another AC in my bedroom for three years and still perfect, every time I take it out for winter is only dust ,still look like new. Third it takes a long time to cool the room no Mather how hot is it. I was expecting a lot from this brand that is well known but I’m disappointed.

    I think my air conditioner is defective

    I have realized my AC unit seems to not be accurately monitoring air temperature as the thermostat in my room will read 75-80 degrees with the unit set to eco or cool and temp set to 70 degrees and still not coming on to cool down. When the unit is set to anything lower than 70 degrees it will run until the room gets to -5 degrees from set temperature to the point that where I had to shut it off as it got too cold. Can’t imagine this is how this unit is supposed to work.

    The fist one a purchased came defective the second one stopped working 45 days later. This is my worst experience with any electronic ever purched

    First night using it right out the box and i set it on 68 cool and its blowing tepid air. The worst ac. I paid someone to install it and now i dont know what to do its sucha pain to take down and return. SO DISAPPOINTED WOTH GE!!!!! not worth buying 10000 BTU and cant cool average bedroom

    Do not purchase this air conditioner only works good for a year and a half !!! Mine keeps on shutting off and beeping it comes on for 3 seconds then shuts back off . The Wi-Fi doesn’t work . It says clean filter which I did and it’s still not working . This by far is the worst appliance I have purchased!!!

    Box was mishandled was open and crushed lucky the unit is not damaged, you need to be more careful regarding goods, presentation and the handling of expensive AC goods.

      We're sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with this air conditioner. For better cooling, make sure there is nothing obstructing the unit such as a curtain or piece of furniture, doors to the room are kept closed, and the unit is properly sized for the area. Also, make sure the filter is cleaned regularly and the unit is set to Cool. For noise issues, the main cause is vibration between the unit and the window.
