    Purchased back in may 2022 worked great took out for winter months stored properly, put in window june 2nd of 2023 an is not working right. set the cooling on an it works the same as the fan. Yup broke you would think for the price i should at least got one year of it nope only 5 months.

    Barely cooled a 15x15 room then quit working a couple months in, just turns off after 2 seconds and repeats.

    This is my 2nd one of these. First one went out for a faulty computer board. Returned it got another one an another an the following year it went out again. Same issue

    The smart Wi-Fi option never worked and it won’t work if the thermostat is set at 66!!

    Worked fine in the beginning but after 2 years of use, this AC is leaking inside my apartment and the 2 year warranty that I received from Best Buy was a scam and was really for 1 year.

    Do not purchase! Three months later it stops blowing cold air. Best Buy won’t take return, GE can’t repair, gave me some nonsense about taking a picture of the model number, sending it in, waiting two weeks for a certificate, then I have to BUY a new one with my own money and send them the receipt then wait three weeks for a refund. Do not but this garbage device.

    This is the worst AC I ever purchase in my life it does not get my apartment cold it feel like a fan I have to sit on the the AC to actually get some coldness is ridiculous Best Buy you got to do better with your product

      Hi there, we're very sorry to hear your air conditioner hasn't been cooling well. With the rising temperatures, we can only imagine how this would be a headache for you. For the best help, we recommend the following tips: 1) Make sure the air conditioner is properly sized for the room. 2) Check to make sure nothing is blocking the front of the air conditioner. When the unit is blocked by curtains, blinds, or furniture, the air flow is restricted and cooling performance will be affected. 3) Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. 4) Check the thermostat setting. The highest setting will provide maximum cooling. If you find these tips to be unhelpful, we'd suggest consulting the warranty found on page 17 of the owner's manual.     Was excited to get but once installed it did not blow cold air. Had to return. May have been in the shipping as there was oily substance in packaging

    Waste of money. This AC broke in under two weeks of it being installed into my window. It started splashing freezing water, leaking inside of my apartment, and now there is no hot air. Contacted GE and Bestbuy to fix this AC, and apparently there are no parts to this AC so it cannot be fixed. A fan works better than this AC.

    I am VERY disappointed that I purchased this AC on 6/9/2021 and I am already experiencing it blowing HOT air and it cuts off randomly. I spent my hard earned money on what I thought was a quality product however it is not. The worst part is it is PASS the return date so I am mostly likely stuck. Please buy anything but this.

If you are using the Eco mode function, try changing the mode setting to Cool instead. If that improves the cooling operation we're thrilled.     I had a 10k before that would freeze my room. this barely does the job. doesnt cool unless i have a fan in front of it blowing the cold air

    My old 10,000 btu air conditioner would cool the same room with ease! This new model fights to keep it cool.

      Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us about this window air conditioner. We hate to hear the new unit is not cooling the same area your old air conditioner did; we know that would be frustrating, and would like to assist. A unit with 10,000 BTUs of cooling power is best equipped to cool a room of 350 to 450 square feet; if your space does not fit those dimensions, the unit may not be able to provide a consistent, even cooling performance. If your air conditioner is the right size for your space, you might want to check that the air filter is clean, and the airflow to the unit is not obstructed at all. Other troubleshooting steps are available in the manual. If you think you may need to take advantage of it, the manual also includes information about the limited warranty on page 17.     Only used it for 3 months last year. Installed it this year and it worked for a couple weeks. Now it will light up every light and run for 3 seconds than turn off. No help to fix this from Best Buy and GE is not doin any better. Looks like im off to buy another.. Definitely would NOT recommend this unit
