Pain in the butt

Posted .We are glad to assist with your air conditioner dripping water into the room. The unit may be installed so that it is tilted slightly into the room. It should be level or tilted slightly to the outside (about 1/4 inch) so that any excess water will drip outside rather than leak into the room. Also a dirty air filter can cause moisture to collect and drip on the floor inside the room.
Realign the air conditioner if needed and be sure to clean the filter. If the dripping inside persists, please call 833-426-3393 for further assistance.

It cools good enough

Water Leaking Inside Apartment

And guess what? The warranty is only for the first 12 months. Of course it is. At first the leaks were small so I placed a paper towel under to catch the water. Now the leaks have gotten worse so had to turn the unit off. Thinking about opening it up to see if I can fix the issue myself because not worth calling a professional to do it. For what they charge I may as well just buy a new one. I’m rambling, but anyway, point is that it’s no good and i do not recommend it.

Posted .Our room air conditioners have a "slinger ring" around the rear fan blade. The ring is designed to pick water up off the bottom of the pan and throw it against the condenser coils. This design feature helps improve the efficiency of the unit by reducing heat on the coils and helps remove moisture from the pan. During periods of high heat and humidity, it is normal for excess moisture to collect in the base pan. If water is dripping inside, please make sure the unit is tilted slightly to the outside to allow the water to collect in the outside portion of the case and drip outside as needed. Additional information is available on page 14 of the online Owner's Manual. The manual can be found by clicking on the Features tab and scrolling to the end of the Features list. It is also available by searching for your model number on our GE Appliances website. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Posted .Thank for taking the time to write a review about your air conditioner. A by product of an air conditioner's function is to remove moisture from the room which makes the space more comfortable by reducing the humidity. If your air conditioner is dripping on the inside or spraying or spitting moisture into the room, make sure the unit is tilted slightly to the rear. Using the Eco mode controls the operation of the fan. When the Eco mode is turned on, the fan cycles off with the compressor. This could cause wider variations in the room temperature. When we're deep into the hot summer months, consider turning the Eco mode feature off. This will keep the fan running and circulating the air in the room. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Just stopped working

Don't Buy

That was fun. Should have done more research, others had same problem. Best Buy took it back next day with no hassle. Very appreciative of that.
