It's a little loud. I'm not sure how many affordable air conditioners are quiet though, so for the class it's fine. I like that it has the smart phone option to turn it in before I get home so the apartment will already be cool.

They can cool my attic from 85 degrees to 69 degrees in less that one hour. Older ac took all day. I love how you can use the remote control from your phone. I would recommend getting these !!

It's a little loud for a bedroom (where I installed it) but the cooling factor helps to ignore it.

Product itself is as described, be careful of the sliding side plastic as we already ripped ours. BTU is accurate and effective. Minus one star for Best Buy security following us around the store before we picked up our air conditioner. We were going to buy a Switch 2 but changed our minds.

Wish we bought years ago!!

Posted .We are glad to assist with the sound level of your air conditioner. While it is normal for the unit to make sounds while operating, there are a couple of things you can check to make sure the sound level is normal. Make sure the front grille or directional louvers aren't loose or broken. Also, improper installation can cause a vibration in the window sill. Check that the side panels are properly fastened to the window frame and window sill with screws. As far as the filter, make sure to clean it every 30 days. Please review the articles titled “Air Conditioners Normal Noises”; "Air Conditioner - Sone or Decibel Rating" and "Air Conditioner - Cleaning the Filter" and on the GE Appliances website.
