They can cool my attic from 85 degrees to 69 degrees in less that one hour. Older ac took all day. I love how you can use the remote control from your phone. I would recommend getting these !!

Product itself is as described, be careful of the sliding side plastic as we already ripped ours. BTU is accurate and effective. Minus one star for Best Buy security following us around the store before we picked up our air conditioner. We were going to buy a Switch 2 but changed our minds.

It's a little loud for a bedroom (where I installed it) but the cooling factor helps to ignore it.

Posted .We are glad to assist with the sound level of your air conditioner. While it is normal for the unit to make sounds while operating, there are a couple of things you can check to make sure the sound level is normal. Make sure the front grille or directional louvers aren't loose or broken. Also, improper installation can cause a vibration in the window sill. Check that the side panels are properly fastened to the window frame and window sill with screws. As far as the filter, make sure to clean it every 30 days. Please review the articles titled “Air Conditioners Normal Noises”; "Air Conditioner - Sone or Decibel Rating" and "Air Conditioner - Cleaning the Filter" and on the GE Appliances website.

Wish we bought years ago!!

This A/C saved me and my family money and from the heat !. I would say that it cools smaller rooms better than bigger rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this specific A/C for bigger areas. But i am obsessed with the fact that you can control your A/C from your phone and you can even turn it on or off or even change the settings while your away from home !.

When I bought it I really had no idea it was wifi enabled and imagine my glee when I found out I could hook it up to my Alexa device so I could have yet another thing to order Alexa to do for me! This thing is a workhorse and cooled my house perfectly! No issues at all! Easy instructions for set up had me cooled off quickly and having it automated through Alexa was the cherry on top of it all!

Cold but loud

Posted .We'd like to provide some information about the sound level of your new window a/c. An air conditioner must circulate indoor air to heat/cool the occupied space. Therefore, air noise will be heard when the fan is operating. The compressor also makes a noise while operating. We rate the sound level of our air conditioners by decibels. This unit has a minimum sound level of 59 dbA and a maximum sound level of 67 dbA. At a decibel rating above 60 dB, the air conditioner sound would compare to a normal conversation or a dishwasher.

Or you can use the app it works great
