Posted .When on ECO mode, the fan cycles off with the compressor. This could result in wider temperature variations before the compressor cycles back on. To meet current energy standards, the air conditioner will default to ECO mode when turned on. Consider connecting your unit to your WiFi and our SmartHQ app. Once connected, you can turn off the ECO mode from the convenience of your phone. This thing cools ok, wish I had known before I bought it that the coldest setting is 64, my old one was 60, so more btus but not really a big difference between old and new. Also, I found the installation awkward, the side panels are either to far forward or back, not sure, but found it difficult to get it to sit in the window properly, ended up building kind of a shelf for this one and the one in my son's room. Could just be that my windows are odd, but I have installed a lot of different a/c's in this house and never had this problem, each unit took me minimum an hour each.
