||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the compressor makes a horrible high pitched noise in conjunction with the lower roar of the fan and it's unbearable. like, yes, it keeps my ~450 sq ft residence relatively cool, but now it's impossible to sleep during a heat wave for a new and different reason. also, for some reason, unlike the previous generation of this product, it blows small amounts of water into the room when it's on during rain. what?! after less than a month, it flashes the filter light while using a freshly cleaned, dry filter, so its detection for that factor is clearly broken, or something deeper in the machine has already gotten moldy. looking into other brands now. GE has just not been good for us.
